Chapter Thirteen

Deceit's P.O.V.

I walked back into the dark side hallway after listening in on the conversation right around the corner. Once Princey slammed the door in Logan's face, I took it as my signal to leave. They are not going to be able to do this themselves.... But if I help them figure it out...... Thomas will suffer from it..... I can never just stop being the bad guy.....can I?

Logan's P.O.V.

I stood looking at the door for a second before turning to the others. Patton looked as if he was about to cry, which concerned me. Virgil looked like he was going to have a panic attack, which was also quite unsettling, but what made me realize I needed to take action most, was the panicked, yet frustrated, and sad, most confused look I had ever seen on Thomas's face.

" Come on, we have to figure out what we need to do. "

I led them to the commons and in the kitchen. We sat at the table, and tried to think of what to do.

" Virgil, I need you to tell us everything and anything you know that might help us. I do not want to bring up your past, as it seems to upset you, but it may be helpful in this situation. Is there anything you could tell us? "

There was silence for a few seconds as he stared at the table, but eventually, he must have given in to the pressure and seriousness of the situation, because he took a deep breath and spoke.

" well, I do know some things. I'm not proud of it, but, then again, I'm not so proud of this either, but I have before..... made a deal with deceit. "

I raised my eyebrows, and Patton looked at him, surprised.

" Virgil? " Thomas just looked at him, concerned.

Virgil scratched the back of his head nervously.

" Okay, well..... the deal was that if he turned me into a light side, so I could be with you guys, then I had to return to the dark sides one day. I said yes... Technically..... I think my deal is done and over with. I was a dark side again, wasn't I? "

I nodded my head as Virgil refused to meet anyone's eyes.

" that took a lot to tell us I'm sure... Thanks for trusting us with that, virge. " Thomas said.

" I.... I can't believe you did that just to be with us, kiddo.... "

" Yeah, uh, well.... " he cleared his throat.

Sensing his discomfort, I took the opportunity to take charge of the conversation again.

" Now, what do we do about Roman? "

" maybe to get him back we need to..... Act like him? "

" that makes...... No sense. "

" Actually, Virgil, I think I get what he means. Roman was creativity, and with people emotions and feelings maybe we can't exactly..... Logic our way out of this one. "

" Guys! " Thomas suddenly said, " I think I have an idea! "

Thomas's P.O.V.

" Are you ready for this, Thomas? " Logan asked.

" I guess...... Here's to hoping this works.... "

" Indeed. As annoying as he is, in this state, he's even more unbearable. "

Virgil chuckled and Patton gave a small smile.

" Yeah, well, I want Princey back. The real one, not this one. "

" honestly, I'm surprised it hasn't taken ahold of you. You haven't shown any signs of change in your personality. "

" It's because that wasn't part of the deal. " Virgil spoke up, " He gave you the conditions, and Thomas changing want part of it, as far as I know. He isn't going to completely change Thomas as a person. "

" Okay, good to know, here we go. "
