A/N - hey, real quick guys, should I start putting chapter titles instead of just numbers? Just wondering, ON WITH THE STORY!
Thomas's P.O.V.
I woke up and stretched. Hopefully today would be calmer, and we could have a civilized discussion. I went and knocked on the doors, but no one was in their rooms. They must've all conked out at their own rooms in the mind palace. Oh, well, I guess they will eat there today. I went downstairs and got breakfast. I waited and watched as time went by. Ten o'clock, eleven o'clock, twelve o'clock. Still, no one showed up.
" That's weird... They must've been more upset than I thought. "
After lunch, I decided I would just summon them.
I tried summoning Logan first. I might need to think or get the others to think rationally about yesterday. No result... Okay.... No Logic.... Great.
Then I tried for Patton. Maybe he could get the others out here. Nothing... No Morality either....
Okay, Roman..... Nope.... Um, his Creative ego is bruised again? Hopefully that's all...
I tried Virgil next, I was getting pretty freaked out here, but no anxiety. What if something bad happened to them all? That's it....it's time to go to the mind palace.
I thought hard, and sank down and rose up as the others did.... Except Virgil, anyways. I was in the common area. It looked exactly like my living room and with the kitchen attached.
I looked at the wall. There was a map of everything in the mind palace. All their rooms glowed - Virgil's was purple, Logan's a dark blue, Patton's a light blue, and Roman's red - meaning they were in their rooms. That's good, I guess they were just extremely upset. I wish I had stopped it sooner, but there's no going back.Should I talk to them? Maybe they'd rather be left alone... No, I should talk to them. One on one.
I started down the hall and stopped in front of a dark blue door with a black outline of a brain with glasses. Logan's room.
Well, here goes nothin.
I knocked on the door a few times and was relived as the door swung open, but then, I gasped in shock of what I saw in front of me.
" L-Logan? "
" Greetings and salutations Thomas. " Logan said. But.... This couldn't be Logan. His face was completely expressionless. His shirt was now a deep blue instead of black, and his tie was all black. His eyes were more black than I though possible. Nothing but two pools of darkness. " Is there something I can do for you? "
" What...What happened... to-to you? "
" I merely got help. I have no emotion. I can do my job better now. "
" Who.... H-how.... Why? " my eyes teared up slightly.
" I apologise, Thomas, but I must get back to work. " he shut the door leaving me in unbelievingly shocking silence. I stood there, starting at the ground for a solid five minutes trying to comprehend what had happened. It happened so fast... As I turned to walk away, I noticed the door had become solid black with a single dark blue word on it.
Knowledge.
" Knowledge? As in.... He's no longer Logic? This can't be happening... "
He isn't logic... He doesn't just think logically now. He is knowledge.. He just... knows things .... and nothing else. He doesn't have feeling or emotion anymore. He's just.... Smart.
I stood in front of Roman's room across the hall, and knocked.
" Princey, I need your help, something happened to Logan! "
He opened the door, and I was about to repeat my statement, but I lost all words at one look at Roman. His sash was a deep dark red, and his prince outfit was jet black. He looked at me all high and mighty.
" Yeah, sorry, but I've got important things to attend to, like myself. M'kay? " And he shut the door in my face. I stood there, startled as the door had changed while it was open. It was also completely black, but it had a red word on it.
Pride....
Oh, no.
I ran down to Patton's room. His door looked normal, at least at the moment it did. I knocked harshly, and breathed a sigh of relief as I heard him answer.
" Coming, kiddo, coming! " he had a more...childish sounds to his voice, like a really hyper one. He swung the door open.
" Patton, I- "
I stopped short and my eyes went wide. His emblem was gone from his shirt, and his sweater was pitch black. Like his eyes. He had black freckles on his nose and cheeks, and his black eyes had white stars in them. He had a super happy expression on his face.
" Hey, hey, what's up? I'm so glad you came to visit me, I was starting to get bored. I don't know why, but I just am not feeling any bit of sadness at all from yesterday! Isn't that wonderful? It's like I can't even feel sad at. all. "
When he said those last two words, his eye and head twitched slightly.
" want to come in kiddo? "" No, no, it's okay, I have something else I have to do right now, anyway, hehe... "
It looked like he wanted to be upset, but a perfectly painted smile just sat on his face.
" Awe, that's alright, kiddo, see you later! "
He closed the door, and I stared in disbelief at the door. It was black with a light blue word on it.
Happiness.... That should be a good thing right? ... But, it looked like he couldn't feel anything other than happy....
I stopped across the hall, and was about to knock on Virgil's for, when I heard a crash. I opened the door quickly to see Virgil standing there. One of his shelves were turned over. I gasped loudly at the sight. His purple ripped up shirt was now black. The eyeshadow under his eyes looked as if it had been splashed with water and had run down his face, but just slightly. He had a crazed, twisted smile on his face, and his eyes... His eyes..... They had a mixture of fear and insanity.
" V-Virgil? "
He looked at me in panic, that warped, open mouthed smile still plastered on his face.
" What's gonna happen? I did something, now what? Who's gonna help the others, something bad is gonna happen, there's no hope left. WE ARE ALL GONNA DIE! "
He walked over to the other shelf and knocked it down in a violent manner. A piece of paper fell off and landed in front of me. I picked it up, and he turned to look at me. He was shaking badly. I wanted to help, I did... But I was scared.... I slammed the door shut, and stared in fear at the completely black door in front of me with a dark purple word on it.
Paranoia.
What do I do?
I realized I still had the piece of paper in my hand.
" If anyone is reading this, it means something bad has happened, possibly a return of the past. Deals were made, and to undo the mistake, you need to talk to a certain snake. " I read aloud. I knew exactly what I had to do.
I ran back to the common room and looked at the map to see a glowing yellow rectangle.
" Deceit. "
