After the next show, Dinah and I were left alone in the tour bus. We decided to catch up on our lives even more, cause there really wasn't anything better to do.
"You know," Dinah began. "You really are starting to make a name for yourself. A few months ago you had like, five hundred Instagram followers. Now you have thousands!"
I rolled my eyes and laughed. "Yeah. Cause Instagram followers are what I'm pursuing music for in the first place."
"I'm just saying." She grinned. "You should shout me out on your story, I need the extra clout."
"In your dreams." I told her. "But maybe I will when your birthday comes around."
Dinah chuckled, and then pretended to be flattered. "Gee thanks."
"Anyway, anything else happen between you and Lauren? Besides the whole girlfriend thing you told me about." She asked eagerly.
I shrugged. "Eh. We've kissed a few times. I saw her while she was butt ass naked once. Pretty normal girlfriend stuff."
Dinah shook her head. "Naughty girls. You haven't done it yet though, correct?"
"I think we're waiting on that." I explained. "Y'know, till after she's done being mad at me and after we know I'm actually gonna live."
Dinah cocked an eyebrow at this.
"Well, I wouldn't wanna die a virgin. Aren't you gonna at least do it once before the bone marrow transplant?"
"I dunno. Clearly I'm probably gonna be the bottom in this relationship so ultimately I'm gonna let Lauren take the wheel on that one."
Dinah smirked. "Okay. Maybe I'll have a word with her about that."
"Dinah." I warned. "You better not try to convince her to have sex with me."
"No convincing." Dinah promised. "Just a quick little chat. Totally harmless."
I sighed, deciding to just let it go. She was going to do it whether I told her to or not.
"I'm proud of you." Dinah spoke again. "You've come a long way already. You're chasing your dreams, and actually putting yourself out there to fall in love with someone despite knowing what could be coming next."
"Honestly though," She continued, holding her hand up. "I would take the risk if it were Lauren Jauregui, too."
Deciding to disregard that last very gay remark, I gasped. "Giving me compliments? Who are you, and what have you done with Dinah Jane Hansen?"
"Hey," she pouted. "I can be nice sometimes. Criticizing you just means I care. I'm sure you don't want a fake bitch lying to you about how amazing you are all the time, now do you?"
I nodded at this. "True. Very true."
"I've only got another hour or so before I get picked up by a few of my family members. What should we do till then?" Dinah asked.
"Eat all of the good food stashed in the refrigerator?" I proposed.
Dinah grinned. "Great minds think alike."
We spent the rest of our time together eating and talking some more. Dinah was talking about how her schooling was going and how she's going to become a therapist since she's always loved to help people who are struggling. She sounded pretty knowledgeable as she was talking about it too, which lots of people don't expect from her.
That's the great thing about Dinah. She's got the greatest sense of humor I think I've ever seen, but she's also smart and very wise.
I told her I know she's going to make for a great therapist, especially since she's already listened to and helped me through a lot of my personal problems.
