"You two need to be back in time later tonight. The tour bus will be leaving then, and we're back on schedule so that means we need to make sure we stay on schedule."

I sighed as Normani kept continuing to lecture us.

"Alright, alright." I replied. "We'll be back on time."

"We're at Camila's house. The crew and I are gonna go into town and explore. Will you guys be able to catch a ride to Lauren's?" Normani asked.

Camila nodded. "Yes, actually. My dad can take us there. It isn't too far away, is it Lo?"

I shook my head. "Not at all. It won't take long to get there."

"Okay, good." Normani smiled slightly. "Have fun, you two."

"We will." I chuckled a bit, trying to wrap my head around the fact that we were actually going to visit each other's families.

With that, Camila and I exited the tour bus, and I could already feel myself growing nervous.

I had no idea what to expect of Camila's father. She had told me he was a good man, so I decided to just take her word for it.

But I was always apprehensive towards my own parents, so of course I couldn't help but feel anxious.

I was already out to the world, but that didn't put my mind to rest at all.

It was Camila that I was mostly worried for. Hopefully her father would love and accept her, because I really wasn't in the mood to argue with anybody.

Camila's POV:

Lauren looked kinda pale. Guess she wasn't good at this kind of stuff.

Deep down, I knew my father would approve of our relationship. He was never one to hate anybody. Especially not for the things they couldn't control.

He believes that true happiness comes from being able to do what you want with your life. That includes being able to love whoever you want.

It was an aspect about him that I'd always admired. Not many people are capable of the acceptance he has towards others.

Lauren followed after me as I went up the stairs of the porch.

This all seemed so foreign to me now, the place I had once called home. I'd been homesick before, but in time it passed.

Being there now, standing before the house that held so many of my childhood memories, was overwhelming to say the least.

To say I hadn't missed it at all was a lie. I'd missed it a lot, but since when was moving away on your own supposed to be easy?

I rang the doorbell, and immediately heard barking from within the house.

Leo and Thunder. I smiled to myself, feeling slightly guilty since I'd completely disregarded that they existed.

"Easy now! Easy now!" A voice boomed through the door. The dogs were eager to get outside. They already knew it was me.

I watched as a familiar face peeked through one of the windows next to the door. It was my father, and he was already smiling like an idiot.

The door opened soon after, letting the two eager dogs loose.

Leo was already trying to jump on top of me, and Thunder was running circles around my legs.

"Hey!" I grinned. "I'm happy to see you guys too!"

My gaze met that of my father's, who was also grinning widely.

"I'm very surprised to see you here today." He spoke. "You should have told me you were coming! I would have already started making the quesadillas!"
