I watched the video over and over again, laughing to myself whenever that specific part passed by.
And then, subconsciously, I'd glance down at the ring that was now sitting on my left ring finger.
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't shocked, because I certainly was.
I never thought I was worthy enough to find someone to marry. Someone that actually meant the world to me.
And here I was, caught by total surprise, wearing an engagement ring.
"Hey guys!" Lauren's voice said enthusiastically as I watched the video for the twenty seventh time in a row that day.
"Lauren! I was supposed to do the intro!"
"Camz is a little too orderly for my liking sometimes. She wrote out a script for this entire video."
"Hey! I'm just nervous, is all."
"We have something super important to tell you guys." Lauren said. "It's the whole reason why you're watching this right now. You might feel a little confused at first, but I implore you to just let us explain."
"Yeah." I agreed. "If anything, you guys might totally hate me by the end."
"Camz, don't be stupid." Lauren pouted, then looked back at the camera. "Please don't hate her, guys. Like I said, we can explain everything."
We talked for a little while longer to keep the mood light, and then after a few more minutes we got into the serious stuff.
"I'm just gonna say it. Straight up." Lauren said. "Can I—can I do that, Camz? You good with that?"
"Sure." I shrugged. "Go right ahead."
Lauren took a deep breath. And I mean like, deep.
"Camila and I have literally been dating this entire time. Shawmila is PR, and we kinda got forced into silence because our management thought it'd be a bad idea to come out to the world so soon after we both started gaining more popularity."
"And before you guys try to say this is just another stunt to get more attention," I continued. "It's not. We're really together. We're really lovers. We've had sex. Camren is real."
Lauren laughed at this.
"You know it's real just by the way she says the word sex." The green eyed girl mused. "But yeah, what she said. I promise you guys we'd never lie anymore than we already have. Especially not about something so serious."
"And I'd like to apologize." I butted in again. "For what I said on my interview, of course. I had this moment of panic and.."
I sighed. Lauren rested her arm around my neck in support.
"I just—I really shouldn't have said all of that garbage. Lauren didn't deserve that, and none of you guys deserve all of those lies either. I hope you can forgive me."
Lauren smiled, placing a kiss on my cheek.
"Our management doesn't even know this is happening." She explained. "Well, now they will once they see this video like the rest of you. But, whatever. Heck, we're gonna be in so much trouble, but I'm not even worried about it right now."
