The first day of the tour was tomorrow.
I have to admit, I was nervous.
But that's understandable even for me, right? Especially since it's my very first tour, and my very first time visiting so many fans over the course of months.
At least I'd have Camila with me along the way. She'd make a brilliant opening act, even if she wasn't well known yet. People were going to love her.
Right now, I was out having dinner at a restaurant with Ally and Camila.
Surprisingly enough, Ally has already significantly opened up to Camila ever since I explained to her what's been going on between us. She seemed grateful that Camila has taken the time to help me, something Lucy couldn't pretend to do if she tried.
"I'm gonna miss you, Lauren." Ally sighed as we were finishing up our food. "It's gonna be forever till I see you again after tomorrow's show. Don't forget about me, okay?"
I laughed. "How could I? My home is here, after all. In LA. And you're here, so you're a part of that home."
"Aww." Camila chimed in. "That's sweet, Lo."
The waitress came back around and placed the bill on the table.
Ally snagged it as fast as she could.
"My treat." She said. "You guys are gonna be working hard for the next few months, after all. It's the least I could do besides supporting you."
I sighed. "You always pay for our nights out, though."
Ally pursed her lips. "That's cause I'm a good friend. Be thankful."
We all laughed at this.
After Ally paid for the meal, we all headed out and decided it was best to just go home.
"We need as much energy as we can get." Camila shrugged. "Especially you Lauren. You need sleep."
Ally smiled sadly. "It was nice to see you both again. Good luck with the tour. I'll be there tomorrow for the first show, at least. I wouldn't miss it for the world."
I gave her a hug. Probably the tightest one I'd ever given before.
"Don't have too much fun without me." I told her, chuckling a bit.
Ally scoffed. "Don't count on it. I probably won't know how to entertain myself without your dumbutt being here."
Once we pulled away, Ally turned to Camila and also gave her a quick hug.
"You're gonna be great." she told Camila. "I've heard your stuff before, it's amazing."
"Thank you." Camila replied with a beaming smile. "That means a lot."
With a few more final goodbyes, Camila and I headed over to my truck.
"Lauren," a voice called from behind us, followed by flashing lights. "We have a few questions."
Shit. It's the paps.
I turned around reluctantly and smiled as genuinely as I could for being annoyed as fuck.
"Sure." I replied. "What would you like to know?"
"You're obviously going on tour starting tomorrow." One of the reporters said. "How are you feeling right now? Are you excited?"
