Lauren's POV:
Today was the day.
After weeks of practicing and planning out how I was gonna do it, and what I was gonna say, I felt like I was ready.
Today was the day I would ask Camila to marry me.
She was busy working on the finishing touches with her album, so I doubted she would even suspect something like this to happen right now. Perfect.
I wanted this to be absolutely perfect, so I had both Ally and Dinah coming over soon.
Genius, right?
To be frank, I needed both opinions. One from the perspective of someone that knew me as well as or maybe even more than Camila, and one from the perspective of someone that knew Camila as well as or even more than me.
The whole plan was to bring Camila to one of my safe havens in LA. It was a hidden place that I would sneak out to a while back when I just needed to escape my life for a bit.
It was this open place in the woods. An abandoned picnic site that I'd begun to decorate and redo as my own in my free time.
Before Camila, it was hard to validate my life. I was horrible at talking about how I felt, so instead I looked for release through other things.
Finally, I found it through fixing up that place in the woods and personalizing it for my own enjoyment.
That place.. it holds so many memories. I wanted Camila to be the first know about it.
I wanted to share those memories with her.
While I waited for Ally and Dinah to arrive, I basically sat in my house hyperventilating the entire day.
I mean, can you blame me? I was gonna ask Camila Cabello to marry me.
The smartest, funniest, most gorgeous person I'd ever met.
This could either go super good or super bad. I didn't even have a clue as to whether she'd be up for marriage.
Was it too soon for us?
Some marriages come to be over years and years of strengthening bonds. Camila and I had below five years, which means we can't have had a lot of time to strengthen said bonds.
Ally arrived first. Naturally. She didn't live too far away.
"And where is this life threatening crisis you were telling me about?" She asked curiously. "You seemed pretty upset over the phone."
"I'm not upset. Just anxious." I shrugged. "And before I explain anything, we're gonna wait for Dinah."
Dinah was told a few days ago about my needing her to come to the house, so hopefully she had already shown up in LA.
"Dinah? That's Camila's friend you were telling me about." Ally recalled. "Is this some kind of get together? Why isn't Camila here too?"
I chuckled. "I guess you could say that it is. It's more like I need you both to give me some hardcore and much needed advice. Once I explain it, you'll understand why Camz isn't here."
We caught up a bit while we waited for Dinah, and about an hour later my door bell rang.
I eagerly got up to open it, and as soon as I did, I was met with a grinning face.
"The baddest bitch alive has arrived." Dinah said while flipping her hair. "Y'all wasn't ready fo this. I mean, look at my outfit. I really snapped today."
