Camila's POV
The day was finally here. Lauren and I were heading to the airport so that we could board our plane to LA.
We got a bit held up in the morning, since I spent at least an hour saying goodbye to Dinah and actually crying over it.
"Text me when you get there." she had said, to which I told her I definitely would.
Anyway, I couldn't believe how close Lauren had come to already finding out about my sickle cell a week ago when she visited my apartment. I assumed she hadn't read enough of any of the hospital papers to know about my condition, since she didn't ask any questions.
And I didn't think she'd try to hide it if she knew. Lauren seemed like the kind of person who would be concerned about it.
"You got everything?" I asked the green eyed girl with an amused expression. "I mean, you have five different bags with you."
I had to help her out by rolling not only my suitcase, but one of hers as well.
The only things I had brought were my guitar, most of my clothes, and some other necessities that were small enough to fit into one bag.
Lauren was rolling two other suitcases, and had an addition backpack on her shoulders which was miraculously staying intact even though it looked like it had been filled to the brim.
"Oh, shutup." she grinned in reply. "Maybe it's you who just didn't pack enough stuff to bring."
I rolled my eyes. "I figured that I wouldn't need anything else considering that you're rich and I could just steal from you."
She looked genuinely concerned for a minute at this comment.
"Friendly stealing." I added. "And maybe a bit of robbing, too."
"Camz!" she scolded. "If you take anything from my Gucci collection, I swear—"
"What?" I asked, enjoying this conversation enough to keep pressing on. "Am I not sophisticated enough to wear Gucci?"
Lauren chuckled. "No, it's not that. I'm just not used to sharing."
I laughed at this.
"Well, of course you're not." I mused. "But you better be getting used to it now."
She mumbled something else before we were in the lobby, waiting to board our plane.
"I'm shocked." I spoke up once again. "No private jets or anything?"
She glared at me, but her mouth quickly broke out into a smile.
"I figured you didn't wanna be too overwhelmed by my amazing and extravagant life."
"Sure, sure." I answered dismissively. "Whatever you say."
After waiting for maybe another half an hour, which was pretty good considering there was a chance of our flight being delayed, we boarded the plane.
Lauren saw some fans on her way out, to which she gladly greeted and took quick pictures with.
"I could never do that." I told her. "I'm such an introvert. I'm pretty awkward when it comes to people."
Lauren's green eyes practically pierced through mine for a split second before she looked away.
"It's not so bad. As long as you make them happy, they won't be a problem."
