"im not coming to school again" renjun sighed over the phone.

"I'll tell our teachers and get the homework for you. I hope you come back soon rennie, I really miss you here" you sighed as you walked through the school gates.

"maybe I'll come back next week, I don't know it's just hard" renjun mumbled.

"don't worry, I get it. take all the time you need. you can't get over something like this fast" you slightly smiled.

"I'll come over tonight" you said before ending the call.

Renjun hasn't been at school for the past week, that's because his mother recently passed away. renjun wanted to take some time off which the school let him. probably because his mother was a doctor at the hospital in town. it's been really sucky these days but the only two reasons that are keeping you by is Nayoung and Sojin.

"y/n!" Soji shouted waving her hands around.

"hello" you laughed walking up to the two.

"hurry let's get to class" Soji said making Nayoung groan.

"I don't like school" Nayoung mumbled as we headed inside the school building.

: lunch :

you were sitting with the girls when the door to the lunch room opens. you saw the popular people walking in and making noise. then you saw Lee Jeno, your bestfriend the one that you've been in love with for the past three years was there. Jeno joined basketball earlier this year, which he was surprisingly good at. he got popular because of his skill and because of Jaemin, Donghyuck, Jisung and Chenle.

"y/n stop staring at him" Nayoung nudged me.

"sorry" you muttered.

"don't be sorry" Soji explained.

"I just miss my bestfriend that's all" you sighed loudly.

"he ditched you. he wasn't there for you at all this year. yeah at times he'd come up and talk but that's it." Nayoung mentioned.

"Nayoung!" Soji scolded.

"im just saying. jeno is drowning in popularity. I don't think you can do anything" Nayoung sighed.

"I hate popular people" you groaned.

"you still have Renjun" Soji smiled.

"I know" you gave her a small smile.

"everything will be alright" Nayoung chuckled.

"I hope so" you let out a sigh.

: gym :

"y/n!" Jeno called out her name.

they were currently outside doing laps when the coach had to told them to take a break because of an important call. y/n was sitting way up in the bleachers on her phone and Jeno was rushing towards the top.

"long time no see" Jeno chuckled patting the girl's head.

"do you want something Jeno?" you glanced up at him.

"I just wanted to ask if you wanted to go to a party tomorrow" Jeno said making you hesitate.

"why?" you asked, Jeno shrugged.

"I just want you to come" he sighed.

"I don't know Jeno, I'm not the partying type" you went back on your phone.
