X's P.O.V:
Four's going to die trying.
He'll be dead, and Three will use me for my luck. I sit in silence while he rambles on and on about why he needs the luck. I work at a rental shop and hardly make money or Four doesn't deserve you. Excuses. He just wants me for my luck, my value, my charm.
Not for me.
I don't hate people.
I never have.
I just think people hate me.
With Three, I'm not exactly sure. He doesn't hate me, but he definitely doesn't like me either. Is there a word for that? Wanting something, but not necessarily enjoying every part of it? Wanting luck, but now wanting the person themselves?
"Hey!! Are you listening to me?!" Three spat. "Ugh, you idiotic variable. Listen for once in your life!" He then shape-shifted into Four, his voice changing. "Will you listen to me now, Princess?" He asked.
This isn't fair! He's manipulating me!
Three gave Four's lovable smile.
The smile I trusted.
But I already knew that wasn't Four, and I won't trust him.
I shook my head, telling him his bait wasn't working. I'm not falling for this.
I'm not falling for him.
Only the real Four deserves my love.
Four's P.O.V:
Ugh... no... stop it, Four, you'll lose control...
Stop it, you can defeat Three yourself...
I can do it without this stupid condition in the way...
I see the rink in front of me. I gaze up at it, remembering everything that happened in it. Skating with X, learning how to do so myself, the encounter with Three...
Oh.
Three.
Right.
H-hey, no, deep breaths,,!!
Deep breaths.
Deep breaths.
It's over.
Okay, I'm in control now. But where's X...?
Something shifting around inside of the rental shop catches my eye. Red. Red. Red.
And yellow.
The yellow.
Sneaking around the shop, I spot the window.
Hoping Three isn't looking, I peek my head into the shop window.
X sees me. He's never seen me in this state before, so naturally...
He gasps.
Oh shi-
X's P.O.V:
I'm trying my best to pay attention to Three to avoid punishment, but something blue catches my eye. Is it Four?! Oh no, he's not going to get out ali-
...wait.
Four's eyes are dripping with black... something. It kind of looks like clumpy paint. I gasp. Then I realize.. Three's here. Four facepalms, ducking his head back down and out of sight. Three notices my gasp. "Ah," he starts, "has your Prince finally arrived? And judging by your gasp, I know exactly what kind of state he's in." He snickers, putting his hands on the windowsill and poking his head out. He slowly looks around only to spot a pink number walking around the area. He sighs, turning around to face X. "My mistake, that's just Five. Anyways-" Three is cut off abruptly by two blue, sharp hands yanking him out the window.
His face is shocked, but not scared.
This is the end.
Four's gone, I know it.
I never even got to say I...
Well, I...
I...
I love him.
...
I have to get out of here.
