X's P.O.V:
I was slumped over, exhausted. It was nearly midnight. The only thing moving us along were the dimly lit streetlights lining the roads. The sidewalk in this part of town was rough on my feet, and it seemed ancient.

I wonder how the contestants are doing.

Tomorrow's Christmas Eve. Hooray. I get to celebrate Four being gone.

Five skipped next to me with boundless energy, Nine following. It was easy getting her to come with us after she saw Five was coming.  Six trailed a little behind, her eyes darting around to take in the entire atmosphere, descriptive words probably running through her mind.

Six was a little more difficult to convince, but she and Eight chatted for a bit until she joined us.

Eight wore around the same expression I did, but for completely different reasons. He, on one hand, is tired. I, on the other hand, am missing the best person in my life. My partner in crime. My best friend.

My best friend.

"We're here, everyone." Nine whispers, looking up at the huge house looming above us.

"I-Is this r-really Two's house?" Eight stutters.

"Only one way to find out." Six pushes everyone aside and rings a doorbell. We're all met with a loud jingle, the tune getting caught in my head.

"WHO'S THERE?!" I hear an aggressive voice shout.
"I KNOW KARATE AND I'M NOT AFRAID TO USE IT!!"

"Oh my Infinity, Two, it's just the lower numbers. And X." Five retorts in a snarky tone.

"Oh. My bad." A green two opens the door. She has white bandages on her elbows and knees. Probably from playing soccer with One.

"What do you guys need?" She asks quizzically.

"Oh boy, here we go..." I mutter, taking a deep breath. From there, I tell the story.

"Why would Three do that?" She questions at the end. "Because of my, uh, brother," I cough, "Seven."

Two jumps at the very mention of his name.

I'm used to it by now.

"My value is Seven, remember? A lucky value?" I explain further. Two nods her head. "Yeah, I can help get Four back for you." She says briskly, like the mention of my brother completely changed her mind somehow.

"O...kay then... you can come." I mumble.

As I turn away from Two, I swear I see the corner of her mouth twitch up.

"Let's go ask One now." Nine states as we all nod in agreement.
