Jennie's POV
"Why do you think she didn't answer tho?" Irene asked while we're sitting at my office a day after that elevator incident happened. I told Irene everything and I'm still confused as to why she went out of the elevator without answering my question. She can't be hurt with what i said cause im just telling the truth. Why isn't she bailing her mother out when she's already working as a doctor and she's getting paid well cause this is a high class hospital and also because her grandfather is the director of the hospital.
"I really don't know" I said
"You know what.. let's go out. Eunwoo's friends with Lisa and he works on a department nearby" Irene said.. Eunwoo is Irene's cousin so they're somehow close.
"Aren't we being too nosey?" I asked
"It's called interested but we're not gossiping cause we won't tell it to anyone" Irene said so i just nodded as we went out of my office. We walk to the hallways and saw Eunwoo just about to enter his office
"Eunwoo can we talk to you about something?" Irene said
"Sure noona what is it?" He asked
"Quit with the noona i feel much older.. can we go in?" She asked making the taller guy nod so we entered his office and sit down on his couch
"You see we're just curious but we arent gossiping.. it's about Lisa" Irene said and when she mentioned Lisa's name Eunwoo's face lit up
"Oh.. my pretty friend" he said smiling
"You like Lisa huh?" Irene said and Eunwoo just shrugged his shoulder like it's an obvious thing "so we wanted to ask you about Lisa's mom" irene said carefully not trying to step on any line
"What do you want to know about?" He asks like it's not a big deal. "Actually if you're thinking that you're stepping on her private life then you're not" he said to make us feel better "shes just not comfortable saying it but she's fine with us sharing it to those close people around her"
"So.. why is her mom still in jail when she's already a doctor and she's earning a lot" Irene asked for me
"Well you see.. Lisa isn't getting paid here. Sounds ridiculous but true. Lisa's working here to pay for their debt on Lisa's gradfather, the director and those people who her mom had some debts. At first I also asked why Lisa needs to pay for a family member when they can just let it go but then the director is her dad's father. He left them when she's 13 because he doesnt want to be a doctor like what his dad wants... he flew out of the country leaving a lot more debts like Lisa's mom so her grandfather wants her to work here in return of the debts of her dad, her mom and the debt that Lisa had on the director" both the girls tried processing everything on their minds since it's too much for Lisa to handle "about her mom.. she visits her often but she's being held on the jail till she finished paying. We tried helping by bailing her out but we end up being faced with an attorney and the director. We have no news about her dad tho. And about her food and stuff. She lives with her bestfriends on a hospital dorm then she use the hospital card sometimes to pay for her food but she can just use it limitedly. The car that she use is Jackson's" he continued... i don't know whether to think about it all or to feel bad that i said something horrible to Lisa. Like saying that she isnt doing anything for her mom... i feel bad for saying that
"Eunwoo what about the debt that she has to her grandfather what is it abo-" i cut off Irene's question as i stood up
"Ill just... go umm.. somewhere... yeah somewhere" i said stuttering making Irene look at her wrist watch
"Oh right i have to go too.. ill just ask you next time. Thank you for the informations dongmin-ah" she said making eunwoo groan on the use of his real name.. we walk out of his office as we go separate ways. I go down to the ground floor and go towards the cafè and look over the pastries
"Yes ma'am may I help you?" A lady on the counter said while smiling
"Uhh.. does Doctor Manoban likes a certain pastry when she go here?" I asked.. kinda shy about asking
"Well she orders a lot of plain bread even though she's eyeing that croissants all the time" she says chuckling
"What about coffee?"
"She usually go for espresso but she told me she'd like a chocolate milk one sometime " i nodded and told her to give me the tallest one and two croissants. Once i got the order i walk straight to the elevator and pushed the floor of Lisa's department
"Fuck.. what should i tell her?
Sorry about what i said... i mean that's too soft for my liking

Fuck it" i pushed the button of my department floor and went out. I walk towards my office and grab a piece of sticky paper and wrote down
'I didn't know what I'm saying yesterday on the elevator. I take it back..' i stick it on the cup of the drink and made my way towards their department
It sounds way too basic and disrespectful like I'm not that sorry towards what i did but i dont have any better option so let just be it
I saw a couple of nurses here and there earning a respectful greeting towards them. I walk towards her office since it has her name on the door and peeked inside first and gladly she's not here so i put down the food and drink on her table carefully moving some of the papers away so it wont be ruined by the drink before i walk out and almost sprint out of that department
