Rant: The Issue With Fiction and Reality

I will not talk about fan fictions or those shit.

I'm talking about those people who think actions in fiction is reality itself.

For example, I did a book, and there would be a rape scene.

Suddenly, everyone calls me a rapist because I included a rape scene.

Then, there's the instance of pedophilia.

If you check the definition of pedophilia, it simply means 'sexual attraction to minors.'

I know, that sounds bad.

But, here's the thing.

Please differentiate between fiction and reality.

In fiction, it's literally no holds barred, where everything goes.

You can make a story about a pedophile's perspective on his actions and people could (note: could) still enjoy the book for it was all about.

And of course, there would be those people.

Y'know, those people who tend to run away from the discussion rather than have agreeing terms with one another.

'Pedophilia is bad. If you don't think so, don't talk to me ever again. Ciao.'

Yes. Pedophilia is bad.

But it isn't bad if it's in the realm of fiction and not brought to the reality.

The reason why fiction books even exist is because of the readers reading the book. It's for our entertainment, and (sometimes) no one else.
