Rant: I Don't Like Photography

I like it when I take pictures of other people, so long as people tell me to do it.

I also like taking pictures of places I've rarely went, just so that I can remember about the place.

I don't like taking pictures of people when I don't want to.

I also don't like getting my picture taken.

Why?

Well, simply put, I just don't like it.

Complexly put, the fact that I need to show my face to other people makes me feel extremely uncomfortable.

Especially to relatives.

If you screw up even in one picture,it will sear itself deep into their brains like a memory chip, and most of the time, they will mention that at least once in their lifetime towards your face.

Ironically enough, there are some instances where I would be willing enough to get my picture taken, so long as they disclose it to themselves only.

But it's only in those rare cases.

These days, whenever someone tells me to take a picture of me with them, I'd flat out say no, no matter who it is.

No amount of threats or convincing is enough to make me take a picture with someone.

And they can't threaten me by taking my phone away because my school year is already over. Like, permanently over.

Even recently, my cousin told me to get to where my family was so that I could take a picture with them. I told him no.

His statement was: it's not every day that it can be like this, y'know.

My reply: that's what you always pull whenever I don't wanna take a picture. My reply to that? Well, I don't care. I'd rather forget this even happened in the first place.

My mom wanted a group photo soon after, and I told her no. Multiple times. Then she stayed behind me looking sad and shit while I type up the first 8 paragraphs, before she finally left.

It doesn't help that tomorrow (6th December) is also my birthday.

Look, I know you guys are gonna call out happy birthday and all, and I really appreciate it, but seriously though, I'd much prefer to be left alone during my birthday.

This calls for another rant.

I also don't like taking selfies.
