Look, I know birthdays are important parts of your life.
But in all seriousness, I feel like celebrating it is pretty not worthwhile.
Yeah, you guys tend to get presents or at least a birthday cake and be happy with it.
With me, the fact that you DON'T make a big deal that it's my birthday makes me happy instead.
Like today, 5th December. Sure, my parents bought me a birthday cake with the others and all, cookies and cream, no less, but the problem lies on a single fact.
I don't like cake.
And if you read the rant before this, you also know that I don't like getting photographed.
Two things I don't like in one day.
Jolly good fun.
Now, let me talk to you guys about why I don't like cake.
Well, it stemmed from someone's birthday years ago, where I tried it out, and found out too late that it was cream cheese.
I don't have anything against cream cheese, it's just that I didn't expect CAKE of all things to have cream cheese.
So ever since then, no matter how enticing the cake looks, I would never go ahead and eat one.
There's also the financial side of it.
Currently, the family's kinda on a tight budget so we try to maximise our output in both electricity, and supplies.
As a boy who's gonna be 17 tomorrow but already has fair knowledge of accounting (despite not taking any of its classes) and budgeting, I consider buying or even making cakes completely stupid in terms of finance.
I don't expect much for my birthday tomorrow except for another cake from another family relative somewhere.
But in all seriousness, I just really don't like having my birthday to be celebrated.
If birthday wishes even exist, I would wish that my birthday isn't even celebrated in the first place.
