Alex's pov

my phone began ringing and I picked it up. "hey." I answered quietly. "im outside. I turned off my headlights, which one is your window?" Grayson asked from the other side of the phone and I counted to myself. "the second one to your left." I responded looking out the window.

I saw him walk over to it and I opened it slowly, looking down at him. "Hey Rapunzel." he waved his hand at me and I giggled at his childishness. "be quiet before you get me caught," I whisper yelled and he rolled his eyes.

I heard my door nob moving and my eyes went wide. I quickly shut my window and jumped on my bed, then got under the covers. the door opened and Theo stood there with a plate of dinner in his hands.

"brought you dinner." he scratched the back of his neck nervously and brought it over to me. "im not hungry," I responded in a low voice. just the fact that Theo is acting more like larce's lapdog than usual is absurd to me.

"oh well. you need to try and eat." he set it on my lap. I looked down at it, then back at him. I pushed the plate onto the floor while making direct eye contact with him. I heard the plate shatter and Theo's jaw tightened.

"why don't you get down there and eat it, after all, your acting like larce's pet dog." I crossed my arms and he scoffed. "Alex im just doing what im told to do? you know better than anyone what he does when you don't do what he says!" he half yelled at me and I rolled my eyes.

"what, are you scared you might get grounded for not listening?" I fake pouted and he put his hands on either side of me and leaned on my bed. "immaturity isn't a good look on you Alex." he leaned closer to my face.

I sat up closer to him and he didn't move at all. "and being somebody's bitch doesn't suit you either Andrews." I responded, our lips almost touching. he backed away, standing up and walked over to my door.

"see you at school tomorrow." he rolled his eyes and slammed my door. I got up quickly and grabbed the small bag I packed with clothes and other necessities. I walked back over to my window and Grayson was leaned against his black car.

I opened the window again and gained his attention. "thank god, I was about to start throwing pebbles at your window." he joked. I threw him down my bag and he threw the rope up. I tied one end to my massive bed and threw the rest back down.

I began climbing down the rope. I was about two stories up from Grayson, so I was trying to be careful. "be careful Alexandra." he warned me and I let out a breath. "yeah, yeah." I mocked as I got closer to the ground.

I was about 9  feet away when I felt the rope sliding. "Grayson is it just me or is this rope moving?" I asked nervously. "shit." he mumbled. heard my bed moving, and the rope full on started dropping.

I closed my eyes tightly in preparation for hitting the ground, but I stopped falling and I didn't feel my body broken. I opened my eyes and Grayson was half holding me up. "I don't think that's how rapunzel did it." he laughed looking down at my face.

"Are you sure? I think I killed it." I responded half out of breath from fear, as he put me down slowly. "we should get going before someone notices you're gone." he laughed picking my bag up and tossing it in his car.

I nodded and got into the passenger side. we made it out of the driveway and Grayson finally turned his headlights back on.
