School

"Morning boys." I smiled, and they returned it. We were making small talk when I saw Elena straight-lining for the bathroom. "I'll be right back," I spoke and rushed into the bathroom behind her. 

"El?" I asked loudly. "In here," she whispered and I saw a stall door swing open slightly. She was sitting on the floor crying, i can tell that she just got sick.

"Honey, what's wrong?" I asked, getting on the floor beside her. "Alex, I'm scared. I've never been this scared in my life," She began crying harder, making me grab her hand. 

"El, what is it?" I asked again, and she reached in her purse reluctantly. She pulled out a small plastic tube, it read POSITIVE in bright letters. I almost choked on my saliva when i saw it. 

"What if Ryan doesn't want it? What if he leaves? What am i gonna do Alex? I'm not ready to be a mom?" She began panicking.

"Hey," i said, grabbing her face. "My brother would never, and I mean ever, tell you to get rid of the baby. Nor would he ever leave you. As for being ready, you are in no way alone, nor will you ever be." I rubbed her face slightly and she steadied her breathing.

"How do I tell him this?" She asked, another tear slipping down her cheek. "can you do it with me?" she asked weakly. "Of course I can, El." I reassured her, pulling her in for a hug. 

After school 

I walked into my brothers house, and saw him sitting on the couch with paisley watching a cartoon. 

"surprise visit." I came around the corner and paisleys head perked up, along with Ryans. she ran over and hugged my legs. I picked her up and twirled her as I walked over to my brother.

"hey ry." I smiled. "Hey Alex, how's senior year going?" he asked sweetly. "well, it's school." I laughed and he laughed also.

"me and this little one have been watching Scooby doo since we woke up." he tickled paisley making her laugh. I looked between them and thought about how good of a father he would be. 

I set her down and she ran over to her box of toys. "thanks Ryan, seriously. I feel bad leaving her here when she's my responsibly." I spoke honestly and he shook his head.

"no problem sister, she keeps me company. this house has been so dull since you left, she brings a lot of... light." he smiled looking over at her, she's playing with her dolls.

I was waiting for the plan but she's taking forever. 

"Why are you looking at me like that?" he asked with furrowed brows and I snapped out of it. "no reason." I shook my head.

I saw Elena come around the corner with a bag in her hand. "hey princess, how are you feeling?" his eyes lit up when he saw her, it was honestly precious. 

he walked over to her and kissed her on the forehead. "better ry, Alex helped me today." she smiled in my direction.

"can we sit?" she asked looking at the both of us and we nodded, walking over to the couch. "baby do you want to bring your dolls over here?" I asked paisley, and she nodded, sitting beside me now.
