Alex

"Hey, I'm going to run to the house and grab my laptop, and a few books. I have a paper due tomorrow." I told Theo as I grabbed my keys.

Even in the midst of all this gang stuff, I'm still a high school student. and I need to maintain my grades and my GPA, as boring as that sounds.

"Seems like old Alex is back, good." He smiled and I nodded. "I'll be back in a few," I spoke again as I walked out of the door.

I walked into Ethan and Grayson's house, which had become my home for some time. I walked into my room and grabbed my laptop from my nightstand and placed it into my bag.

I looked around the room for anything else I may need. I saw one of paisley's stuffed animals on my bed, making me smile to myself. I miss her so much, I need to call Ryan and check on her when I get home.

I opened the drawer of my nightstand to grab the laptops charger, and I spotted the journal my mom had given me for my birthday. Well, technically Jordyn gave it to me, but same difference.

I grabbed that also, just in case I feel sentimental later. I closed the drawer, and when I did I heard a noise coming from another room in the house. I froze for a moment, thinking it was just my imagination.

I heard it again, it wasn't my imagination. I opened my closet and grabbed my old bow and arrows i left here. I grabbed my bag and headed out of my room slowly. I looked around, but I didn't see anyone yet.

I felt a hand on my arm and someone yanked me aggressively into the hallway closet. I started swinging in the darkness, I couldn't see anything. "Alex for the love of god can you chill!" Grayson whisper yelled grabbing my hands.

"What the hell are you doing!" I whispered. "I came to grab some books, we have exams soon. I heard noises so I hid in the closet."

"Seriously, you hid in the closet?" I asked with a straight face. He turned on his flashlight, and I realized how small this closet was really fast.

"We can't just stay in here, what if they're robbing you?" I asked, and he shook his head. "There's nothing valuable here." He shrugged and I rolled my eyes.

"What if they followed you and they're trying to kill you? Closet equals safety." He made a balance motion with his hands indicating his closet claim.

There was another noise, it was glass breaking. "I know you're here Alexandra. I saw you walk in." A voice echoed and Grayson's eyes went wide. "Who is that?" he asked.

"I have no idea." I responded, feeling a sense of panic. "We need a plan." I spoke and he nodded. I searched his face for an answer but he didn't give one.

"so, what's the plan?" he asked and I rolled my eyes. "I'm not here to hurt you, I just want to talk." The voice spoke again, and I furrowed my brows.

"I'm gonna go out there." I stated and Grayson grabbed my arm before I could open the door. "are you insane? You don't know who it is, they could murder you." He argued and I let out a breath.

"Or, they could be Casper the friendly ghost. I don't freaking know Grayson, but I'm not hiding in a damn closet for another second with you." I argued back and he gave me an impatient look.
