It didn't take long for the Lights to arrive back at their house. It felt empty without the boisterous banter of Virgil and Roman. It didn't feel the same. Neither of them liked it. Pride. That name didn't seem to fit Roman. Anxiety wasn't too different for Virgil, he used to go by that back when they didn't know his name. But it still didn't feel right.

Patton and Logan plopped themselves on the couch, to tired to do much else.

Virgil and Roman.

Pride and Anxiety.

Light Sides.

Dark Sides.

The Darks Castle.

The Lights Mind Palace.

Crown and Necklace.

Sweatshirt and Sash.

Why did they change. What made them turn their heads so quickly that they left without saying a proper goodbye. Why. Roman always loved to show them his creations.

Why did he feel like he needed to leave?

He was loved here.

He was cared for.

He had family here.

But he had family there too.

He was trusted there.

He was respected there.

People didn't laugh at his ideas.

In reality, Patton and Logan needed Roman more than he needs them. And it was only until he wasn't there that they realized this. The Mind Palace wouldn't be the same without him. It was strange. It felt different, and yet the Mind Palace was still the same. "Why did they leave?" Patton mumbled. Logan didn't know what to say. In his head, they left because they didn't feel respected. But they left because they wanted to.

"I don't  know," Logan said at last. It was a truthful answer. He really wasn't completely sure. And he wasn't Patton, he didn't know what the emotional side wanted to hear. "But I'm sure they had their reasons," Logan added after a minute.

Patton smiled slightly. "Yeah, I guess so..."
