I woke up in the car to a dog licking my face and the song "Stay" playing on the radio.

"We're here, we're here, we're here!" Mom screaming, officially shattering my eardrums.

Forced to open my eyes, i looked to see where we were. We just pulled into a concrete driveway, leading to a 3-story black and red house. "Where's Dad?"

She groaned and glanced over at me. "You're idiot of a father got pulled over for speeding. They should be here in fifteen minutes or so." She pulled out the key to the house and climbed out of the car. "C'mon let's check it out!"

I put Jela's leash on her before following Sadie inside.

The inside of the house was not at all what I expected. I closed the front door and let go of the leash. As I made my way up to the third floor, I realized the whole house seemed to be centered around the staircase.

The first floor was completely open; other than the garage and the staircase. Besides that, it had the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The second floor had the master bedroom, one other bedroom, the laundry room, and what Mom called the "resting area". Basically, it's a second living room. Finally, the third floor was the other 3 bedrooms and the attic.

As I finished personally touring the house, I heard the front door open. I figured it was just Mom or Sadie going to grab something from the car until I heard Roan yell to us. "Hey! Where are you guys!"

I ran down the stairs to meet my brother and most likely my favorite sibling. Don't tell my sisters. "Dude, you have got to check out the size of the bedrooms. They're huge!"

Raven ran in as I finished talking. "Do I finally get my own room?" She asked me with wide eyes.

I laughed. "There are five bedrooms so I think so. You'll have to ask Mom though."

"Yes yes, yes!" She yelled, sprinting up the stairs.

I went outside and got my suitcase and sleeping bag from the car. The moving truck won't be here for a few days. Oh well, time to go back to sleep, I guess.

Up in my room on the third floor, I set up my sleeping bag and pulled out a set of pajamas. I glanced at the time on my phone reminding me to text Cade.

JessieK
Cade! I'm in NC when do u want me to come over?

It took him a while to respond. It is almost 11 o'clock on a Wednesday night. Maybe he has work in the morning?

CadeTSawyer
Settle in first
Saturday?
Our younger brothers have camp during the week anyway

I replied, he sent me their address, and I had one of the most peaceful sleeps of my life.

The moving truck came yesterday and I set up my new room. After that, Mom saw neighbors outside and dragged us all out to meet them.

Today is the day I've been waiting for, though. The day I meet my biological family. There are so many of them that Cade texted me a picture of each one so I could try to remember who is who.

"Okay, Dallas isn't hard, but I'll probably never be able to tell him apart from Cade. The rest of them look so different, though Cade did say their dad was from Asia and their mom was from Italy so I guess they all just got different genes when I comes to looks. The youngest ones shouldn't be hard to remember either. Owen has blonde hair, Lucas has brown hair, and Maxwell is only four years old."

Yes, I'm talking to myself.

I haven't actually told my about them yet. I don't think she even knows I found the adoption certificate.

It turns out that they live only about a mile away from us so I decided to just ride my bike.

Ten minutes later, I rode into a neighborhood where every house had to considered a mansion. They were huge! I found the Sawyer "house" in the deepest part of the neighborhood.

The "house" was, no doubt, at least 3 times the size of mine. I guess 14 boys need a lot of space though.

I hopped off my bike and walked it up the dramatically long cobblestone driveway. I hit the fancy door knocker thing against the door. A few seconds later Cade came to the door. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm surprised they answer their own door.

He had sort of an odd look on his face. "Hey Cade! You look confused, did I get the wrong time? Or-"

"I'm sorry, but um...who are you?" He's joking, right?

"It's me." He's still not getting it. "Jessie?" Nothing, really? "Your sister.....any of this jogging your me-"

I couldn't finish my sentence because he had pulled me through the door and into a huge hug. I looked up at him. "Um, Cade?"

"Not Cade, Dallas" He said, grinning ear to ear.

Ah, that makes more sense.

"Well, it's great to meet you Dallas." I looked around. There was an archway on each side of me, plus a ginormous staircase, like the ones you see in movies.....or in a castle. "Where is everyone?"

"They're all waiting for you right through here." He gestures to the arch on my right and I wait for him to walk through first before following.

I step through to see a dozen and one boys on the other side. A long sofa stretches out across the back wall of the room seating six or so spread across it plus a couple sitting on the back of. Two sat on a loveseat on the far right with another sitting at their feet. The last 2 were laying across the floor.

Dallas picked up the TV remote and shut off the show they were watching and they looked up at me.

Cade got up off the couch and came to give me a hug. I've never had an older brother...or an older sister for that matter. But, I've always been the oldest. I'm the one who gives the hugs. I've never been on the receiving end of it before. It's a nice change.

"Guys, you all know about the letter Mom and Dad left us." One of the twins said, I already mixed them up.

"What letter?" The smallest of the brothers asked.

"It said that we have a sister who they put up for adoption fourteen years ago."

A few of the boys were staring at me with wide eyes, others just looked confused, and others just plain weren't paying attention.

"Anyway, this is her." Cade said. Or was it Dallas. No- I still can't tell them apart.

It was like a lightbulb went off in their heads. The ones who were confused or not paying attention before understood now.

Each brother introduced themselves one by one. It seems like they do this a lot. It was like they all had a paragraph memorized to recite.

"I'm Adam. I'm eighteen years old, a college freshman, and Jake and Caleb's triplet. I own my own business called Sawyer Tech."

"I'm Orange. I'm sixteen years old and a junior in high school. I'm pretty much always singing so I'll apologize in advance if it bothers you."

Before I had the chance to tell him that I do the same thing, another boy came up to me and introduced himself.

"Hi, I'm Spencer."
