In was late evening when the Prince's returned with their father. The palace was unwinding with the bliss of nightfall and the party of three was more than tired.

Loki had spent the day miserably following his brother and his father; and now he was more than thankful to be home. He wanted to spend the day with Dahlia, he wanted to help her read and to learn. And he wanted to kiss her again. Their one shared kiss last night was too little for the God of Mischief. How he longed to be with her again.

Dahlia was walking back to her chambers when Loki saw her. His heart raced and a smile graced his features. The God of Mischief walked quickly behind her, and grabbed her hand.

He pulled her around the corner, hidden from the eyes of anyone walking by. Dahlia's back hit the wall ever so gently and she met the eyes of Loki. She smiled at him, with eyes of wonder. A look that Loki loved to receive from her.

"Hello Princess." Loki smiled at her.

Dahlia laughed quietly. "Hello Loki. Did you have a nice day?"

"It could have been much better. But it is interesting to see how idiotic my brother could be. And of your day, how was it?"

"Lovely. I spent time with Frigga, in the garden and in the library." Dahlia then remembered something. She lifted her hand, showing Loki the several green flowers in her hand. She was intending on putting them in his room for a surprise. "I picked these for you."

Loki took half a step back and looked at the flowers. "You... what? For me?" He had never received flowers as a gift and did not know what to say.

"They reminded me of you because you wear green a lot. I thought you would like them. I was to surprise you but I did not expect you home." Dahlia told him.

Loki gently took the flowers from her hand, looking over them very carefully. He could not believe that Dahlia would pick him flowers. "Thank you, my Princess."

Dahlia placed her hands on Loki's shoulders, as she did when they were dancing. "I missed you. I found a word in a book that I didn't know what it meant."

Loki laughed at his beautiful Princess. "I am here now."

She placed a hand against his cheek, feeling the sharp curve of his jaw and high cheekbone. His eyes were looking at hers, and he wanted to know her thoughts, her feelings.

"Are you going to kiss me?" She asked him, her eyes not leaving his.

"Would you like me to?" Dahlia nodded slowly, she knew that she always wanted him to kiss her.

His free hand touched her chin and unlike last night, he did not pause long at all. He only hesitated a moment before delicately placing his lips onto hers.

A sigh of content left him as he fell into her. He used the hand that held the flowers to support him from the wall, and his other hand wrapped around the base of Dahlia's neck. He could feel her hands walk to his hips, holding tightly onto him.

When he looked away, he watched Dahlia lick her lips and pull her bottom lip under her teeth for a moment. Loki's eyes focused only on her lips for a second before he leaned down to kiss her again.

"I do love doing that." Loki told her when the parted. He watched her eyes opened.

"I as well." She told him. And Dahlia really did enjoy kissing him. They have now shared three embraces and she wanted more than that.

"Would you like to go to my chambers? I would love to hear about your day." Loki took her hand in his.

Dahlia nodded and they started towards Loki's quarters. She held his hand tightly and set her other hand on his arm. While she was very tired, she did not want to pass up a moment of time she could spend with him.

When she sat down at the table and him across her, she began to fell him about her day. And Loki found himself truly indulged in her story. Light Elves were avid story tellers.

He listened intently when she told him of the walk she had with Frigga and how they shared their me together. She told him of the time she spent at the library, which was nearly empty. She told him of the stories she looked at and the history she studied. And he was truly fascinated by it all.

"Would you like to do something fun, tomorrow?" Loki asked her.

"Yes. What of it?"

"I believe I shall leave it as a surprise." Loki told her with a smile. He wanted to do something for her, something that she would like. He only wanted her to smile.

Dahlia looked at him for a second with wide eyes and raised eyebrows. "Okay. I like surprises."

Loki laughed and reached across the table to take her hand. She had very small hands, and smooth fingers. He adored her hands very much. When he held them, he only wanted to protect her and to keep her safe. He would do anything to keep her safe.

"You look very beautiful." He told her.

He felt a wave of feelings run through him. He wanted to see her smile and laugh, he wanted to be the one making her do it. He was soft for her; he allowed himself to express feelings for her that he would never show to anyone. In the privacy of his room, Loki was able to put his walls down and allow Dahlia to truly see who he was.

Dahlia tried to compress a smile and she looked down at their intertwined hand. "Will you help me write my letter?"

In a blink of an eye, a blank piece of paper with a writing utensil sat in front of her. Loki was then next to her, ready to write for her.

Dahlia smiled at his magic, completely in awe of it. Then she blinked and pulled her feet up, so she was sitting on them on the chair.

"What would you like to say, my Princess?" Loki asked her.

She thought for a moment. "I would like to tell them how much I miss them. And that I love them so dearly and that I hope all is well. And please write that I am going to stay a little while longer in Asgard. Tell mother that... that I have found my adventure."

Loki looked at her for a moment, not understanding the last of it. But he nodded and finished writing the letter. When he finished he handed the writing tool to her. "You should write your name."

Dahlia took it nervously; she never did any of this.

"You can do it, I'll help you." Loki wrapped his hand around hers and helped guide her to, somewhat, neatly sign the letter. The smile that adorned Dahlia's face was enough to bring Loki to his knees.

"Thank you," She unexpectedly pressed her lips to his cheek for a moment. "You are very sweet to help me."

Loki tried not to smile. "Do not let anyone ever hear you say that."
