Dahlia was underneath a heavy jacket, wool gloves, and a hat to large for her head. Little flurries of snow sat on the top of her long eyelashes and even those they fell off when she blinked, more seemed to collect with each passing second.

The cold air let the tip of her nose a rosy pink color, matching her cheeks. Her hands were shoved deep inside the warm packets of her jacket. Her small feet sat comfortably in nearly too big boots, and fluffy snow pants sat too big on her hips.

She looked like a puff ball.

But she was having too much fun to care.

Lila had woken up both Dahlia and Natasha in the morning, begging for them to play out in the snow. But Laura insisted that they eat breakfast first, and then they would be allowed to go outside.

The little Barton girl was more than excited to be playing in the snow. The farmhouse had a large area of land, and snow covered every inch. There were iced over snowmen from the storm before last, and hats frozen into the ground.

The snow from yesterday had frozen over.

Every time that Dahlia took a step, it crunched under her weight and her foot fell an inch. She loved it. She absolutely loved the snow.

"Dahlia, come on! You are so slow." Lila yelled as she pulled the heavy sled up the small hill.

"My boots are too big!" Dahlia told the little girl as she tried to keep up. It had only taken a few hours before Dahlia completely adored the little girl.

"Come on, its so much fun." Lila was practically bouncing up and down.

On the porch, Clint stood with his wife and best friend. They were all equally bundled under heavy outerwear and they all had smiles as they watched their new friend and the children they loved most in the world play.

"She's very young, right? Sixteen maybe?" Laura asked as she leaned against her husband.

"She's actually about a thousand."

Laura looked at her husband. "But in human turns, she's got to be like sixteen. She's young."

"I don't know." Natasha shook her head. "She seems young, but she isn't. She's never experienced anything like this before. She talked to me a lot about life on Alfheim and she hasn't heard about a lot of things."

"It's weird." Laura set her head against her husbands chest and felt his arm wrap around her. "I can't believe my husband brought an alien home from work."

Clint smiled. "I have a feeling things are going to get weirder."

"Obviously. There's a rich man in an Iron Suit thinking he's some hero." Natasha rolled her eyes as she thought about her time in New York.

The three watched as Dahlia and Lila raced down the hill on the sled, and then fell into a pile of snow.

"The kids like her." Laura noted.
