"Where are you intending on bringing me to?" Dahlia asked as Loki led her out the back of the palace. His hand was firmly wrapped around hers.
"It is a surprise, isn't it?"
Dahlia only laughed quietly and allowed the God to escort her out the palace and down a very unused path. After a moment she spoke. "Can't you do your magic?"
Loki then turned to look at her with a smile. "You are quite impatient today, are you not?"
Dahlia smiled innocently. "I want to know what the surprise is."
"You are lucky I care for you." Loki laughed and shook his head. He wrapped his arm around Dahlia's waist and in a moment, they were standing in the forest that surrounded Asgard.
Dahlia stepped away from Loki and immediately smiled. She felt as peace, all of a sudden. She took a breath of the wooden air and laughed.
Loki smiled himself, watching her look around. "I thought it may remind you of your home. Being outside of the palace and the kingdom."
Dahlia looked at him then. "It does. Thank you for bringing me here."
"You do not have to thank me, would you care to eat?" He was then holding a small basket.
Dahlia smiled. "It is like when we had a picnic at the Pegasus Pond! If only Fleur and Thor were here too."
"Oh, I don't know." Loki sat down on the grass. "I think I prefer it just us."
The Princess sat across from him and nodded slowly. "I suppose it is nice that way."
"Only suppose?"
Dahlia blushed. Then she thought about it. "You make me blush very frequently. I do not like it."
"I like it."
The lovers spent the rest of the afternoon like that; together and happy. They sat in the grass for hour, eating little foods and sipping on wine under the sun.
She spent hours with her head on his lap, looking up at him while he looked fondly down at her.
And it was peaceful; they escaped into their own world.
For once, Loki did not feel the pressures of his home life. He did not feel the shadow he spent his life in, or the unwanting feeling he has always felt. Loki was happy and was very much in love with the Light Elf Princess.
And Dahlia enjoyed her time with him greatly. She felt new feelings and emotions, new thoughts and ideas. She found herself dreaming of never returning home to Alfheim, she would stay here forever. And she was okay with it. At that point in time, she was very much okay with it.

"Sound it out, Princess."
Dahlia let out a small sigh and looked at the word on the page more carefully. Her tongue trying to pronounce the foreign word. It was a word that she could hardly try to pronounce, she had never seen it in writing.
