The black filled my ears, nose, and mouth, sucking the air out of my body. I could feel it sliding against my skin, prickly and itchy like bits of dust rubbing against my arms and legs.

And then it was gone. I gasped for air, falling down onto my knees in a bedroom I didn't recognize.

Warren sped over to each of the windows, closing them off so I couldn't see what was outside

Warren sped over to each of the windows, closing them off so I couldn't see what was outside.

I managed to stand weakly. "This is Calvin's room?" I guess they don't sleep in coffins, then.

Warren nodded, picking up one of many cameras on the nearby shelf. "Oh, yeah. If you can't tell by the awful decor, you can from the ridiculous amount of cameras and movies he has stacked over here."

"Why are we here? I'm surprised we aren't in your room-" Another awfully loud beastly scream cut through the room. "And what is that?!"

"You want to be in my room?" Warren grinned seductively.

I stared at him, unamused. "Seriously, Warren, what is that?"

"What if I told you that if a purebreed messes up the vampire turning process it can result in a demon looking monster that doesn't stop feeding on people until you rip of its head?" Warren smiled, a sharp tooth sticking out of his mouth.

"Then I would be terrified."

"Well, that's not new," Warren grinned and then grabbed my hips slinging me to him. "And now that we're alone..."

I tensed and closed my eyes. Warren let go of me and I managed to peek. "Gosh, if you do that, I don't want to."

I peeked with one eye. "Wouldn't it be easier that way? Just get it overwith?"

Warren frowned. "Vampires like chasing and dominating. If you just lay there, we get bored."

"That's sadistic."

"Yeah, we're pretty awful." Warren smirked and winced slightly as another ear shattering scream rang through the house before getting cut off halfway. "That sounds like the last of them." He headed for the door.

I bit my lip and grabbed his arm, stopping him. "Wait... I can trust that you'll tell me the truth, right, no filter?"

Warren raised his eyebrows. "Yes... why?"

"Is there anything else you can tell me? I feel like a whole new world just opened up and I know nothing about it... I just need answers."

Warren sighed and then nodded. "Let's go to my room then." He grabbed my hips and the itchy black crawled over my skin before evaporating into a different room.
