Heat was always something I hated when I slept. I liked to be cozy, but too much heat made me sweat, and that stickiness was uncomfortable.
Yet, when I woke up, enveloped in this... warmth, I didn't break a sweat. Of course it was then that I registered the hard, hot chest against my back and the cold fingers daintily playing with my cheek.
My eyes fluttered open to Calvin, who must've not realized I was stirring cuz his eyes shot open and his hand flung from my face. "Xani... m-morning..."
I blinked owlishly before responding a confused, "Morning."
Hot breath tickled my neck and the arm around me tighted considerably. I wiggled out of his grasp, coming closer to Calvin in the process.
"Warren, I said stay on your side." I chastised and meeting his two navy blue eyes.
"Princess, you came over here." Warren smirked and I realized I was, in fact, on the his side of the bed now.
Calvin propped his head up with his hand. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine." I was glad for a change of subject, knowing Warren wouldn't let me live it down. "Wait, Cal, why are you here? You should've been studying with Rayne."
"I told her to go home." He said simply, watching my expression in interest.
I sat up, eyes wide. "B-But she-"
"Likes me?" Calvin asked, completely hitting the nail on the head. "I know."
"Then what's the big deal? She's pretty and very nice and you guys were a thing coincidentally."
"The big deal is that I moved on." Calvin shrugged. "She's not who I want anymore. I'm trying not to lead her on."
I felt a surge of sympathy for Rayne.
Warren sat up too, giving me an even look. "Either way, it's not going to help his case. He still won't have who he wants."
Calvin glared at him.
"Why?" I asked, turning toward the darker haired brother.
"Because he's a fake and a liar, and that poor girl doesn't deserve that."
Calvin sat up too, hazel eyes darkening considerably. "Warren, shut the hell up."
"She wouldn't want to be a part of his family. They're all monsters."
My eyebrows furrowed. "Warren!"
"Adaline's the worst of them. Fucking bi-" Calvin jumped over me, grabbing Warren and wrestling him to the ground.
I let out a shriek. "Guys! Stop!"
Calvin punched Warren in the face hard, I'm pretty sure I heard a crack. With another scared scream, I bounded off my bed, rushed out of my room. With quick steps, I rushed up the stairs and knocked on the left door on the third floor.
"Please help! Warren and Calvin are fighting!" I banged on the door.
To my surprise, Henry opened his door. He looked down at me with disdain before brushing past me and walking calmly down to the second floor.
I followed closely as he walked through my room to see the boys still fighting.
He leaned against my doorway, arms crossed. "You guys are acting like a bunch of damn animals. Get the fuck up; you're scaring her."
At the last sentence, both boys stopped immediately. Warren pushed Calvin away from him as he stood up. Strange enough, neither of them had any signs of the fight aside from their messy t-shirts.
