Delancy came out after noticing the house unusually quiet, no one was around. She saw Zak in the sitting room "Where's everyone?"

Zak answered without looking at her "They must be inside changing."

"No one's here."

"What?" Zak stood up to look at Delancy. Forget about anyone being here, he thought. "Jesus."

"What?" Delancy asked.

"You're..." Zak shook his head, "I don't know what word to use, it's just perfect, you're gorgeous."

Delancy blushed "Thank you, Now let's go."

"Okay."

Zak went to the door to open but it was locked, he tried to drag it but it didn't open. "Seems like a prank."

"What happened?"

"The door is locked from outside." Zak went to the kitchen to open the back door, "This is locked too, I guess we're stuck."

"So what now?"

"Let's just sit and watch."

They sat on the rug behind the sofa and talked about random things then Zak stopped. "I need to tell you something."

"Okay, I'm all ears."

"It wouldn't be simple but I have to tell you, I'm in love with you Delancy. It happened ever since the first time I saw you at that store. I know it hasn't been so long but it happened."

"I-"

"No, I know you're engaged and you can't be with me, I don't really need you to say anything. I just wanted to tell you, I'm sorry for this." then he kissed her, slowly and stood up.

"I think I know where the spare key is." He went to Grandma Patty's room and took out the key.

"Found it." he opened the door and they went out of the house. "Where's the beach?" Delancy asked.

"At the back of the house after the garden."

***

"Grandma Patty. I know what you did." Zak said.

"What?"

"Grandma, don't play dumb with me. You know exactly what I'm talking about."

Grandma Patty grinned at him. "Well yes."

"It was crazy though."

"Yes, Tristan and I planned it." Zak turned to look at Tristan at the back and Tristan winked at him.

At the back as they walked into the house, it was getting dark.
Cybil called Delancy "Dear, it wouldn't be too bad if I ask you for a favour?"

"No problem."

Cybil sighed "I want you to leave Zak alone, everyone in this family knows he's in love with you and obviously you feel the same way for him. How much I would like you two to end up together but it's not possible. You're engaged and I know how much he's hurting. Everyone saw how he was with Lauren, his first love  and for this, he'll be more shattered. That's why I'm begging you please, I don't want my nephew to get hurt again because of a girl." And she left.

Delancy stood still, tears forming in her eyes. "God! I know I've never called you but please help me out of this."

She walked back to the beach, she wasn't going to the house yet. She sat on the chair, crying to calm herself.

"It's okay, Crimson." She heard Zak's voice.

She saw him in front of her "Don't mind Cybil, she's just worried. I can assure you I understand everything, I'm not hurt or anything."

"R-Really?"

"Yes, Anyways I'm going out now. So I thought I'll come say goodbye to you since I might not be around when you leave and I don't think you'll come for Amber's wedding too. So, I'm saying goodbye right now. Er... Can I kiss you? For the last time...please."

Delancy laughed at him and nodded. He's not the only one who needs a kiss.

She stared into the light grey eyes and offered her lips. This time there was no hesitation, no slow beginning. Desire rose hard and hot between them, rushed them to a world where nothing matters but mouth on mouth, lips tasting lips, tongue curling to tongue.

Without resistance, they ended the kiss. Zak stood straight and kissed her cheek "Bye Crimson."

As he left, this time bye forever, he thought to himself.
