Author's Note

Okay, so few things before we get started.

Firstly, welcome to Soul of Shadows, the sequel to Blood of Darkness. If you have not read Blood of Darkness yet, please go and read that book first and come back to this one, since things will make a lot more sense. Also even though the summary blurb focuses on Stefan Drake and Sorina Drake, I'll be switching to Damien and Selena occasionally as well since they have a bit going on too.

Secondly, just like Blood of Darkness, this story does contain some Romanian words, and for the most part they are translated within the story itself, but just in case:

Frate - brother

Soră - sister

Surioară - little sister

Mamă - mother

Tată - father

Iubirea mea - my love

cumnată - sister in law

This list may grow as the story goes on.

To any readers out there who happen to speak Romanian and find my translations are wrong, please feel free to direct message me and let me know.

Thirdly, a warning that there may be some scenes containing blood and graphic imagery. If that's the case, I'll give you guys a heads up at the beginning of the chapter and just before it starts, so that you can skip it if you want to.

Fourth, just like Blood of Darkness, this story does derive inspiration from Hades and Persephone, so be on the look out for mythical references.
