Roman stared at his phone anxiously as his knee bounced with his nerves. His mind was reeling. Mainly because of Virgil... Virgil and Anx. It wasn't like he outright accused or even thought they were the same. He had no proof and there were no signs. It was just... a feeling... maybe? He just couldn't help but list all his thoughts... even if it was all stupid.
Virgil was there with Patton, who has admitted to spending more time with Anx then anyone else. This proves nothing but it was still in his head. Virgil also didn't question the care package. Again proves nothing. Patton could have told Virgil about it prior. Then there's Virgil's black and purple hoodie. Just another thought that doesn't go anyway but... Anx's favorite colors are black and purple. And Anx just said he had a hoodie.... Now he's never seen Anx or was told this about him but due to his choice in music and stuff, Roman assumed he was emo. It didn't take very long for Roman to see Virgil was exactly that.
Anx's anxiety too. He can't say he saw it in Virgil but SOMETHING happened to the man. Plus after Virgil left and Roman told Patton about it, who was going to find Virgil... and Anx, Roman got the code word. AGAIN IT MEANS NOTHING... but it really shook him up. And on top of all that was Virgil's complete disregard to the mans sudden appearance. Virgil made no attempt to fanout like everyone else who sees him. It was actually the very thing that sparked the curiosity. Anx was the only person Roman knew that didn't geek out about him. He found that out when Anx spoke about how much he loved Vlad but made sure to stress that it was not because of Roman himself but how alive the character was because of his talent. Then there's the fact that Anx said his attack was because of something in class. If Roman was right... that problem was him. Oh and don't forget Anx's and Virgil's close relationship with his brother and Cassidy.
The worst part is, say he's right... he just sent Anx into another attack for no reason. To be honest it isn't any better if he's wrong either. Roman didn't know what to do. He couldn't just outright ask the man because if Virgil was Anx then the moment he did Virgil would know he was Princey. He didn't want there relationship to change, and he was certain he wasn't ready for Anx to know about him just yet.
Roman had to get over his fear of people using him before he ever thinks of letting Anx in. As much as he wants to... and he does. That fear just keeps him chained down. He did want to though. That's why he got the tickets and came down himself. Anx said he was going to be spending Halloween alone. He even said it was his favorite holiday. No should be spending there favorite holiday alone. It's not a pleasant experience. And it's one that Roman actually knew...
“Are you even listening?!” Roman jumped in shock at the sudden voice tearing through the room. He looked up to see Kai glaring at him and he frowned. “You weren't, were you? God damn it Roman.”
“I'm sorry... I'll pay attention now I swear.” Kai softened as he shook his head. All that anger died away as Roman's hands shook, still holding on to the phone. “I will, I promise. What were you saying?”
“It's fine Roman.” Kai sighed as he sat down on his bed looking over at Roman who's eyes kept darting back to the phone. “Is it Anx?”
“Y-Yeah. He had another attack.” Roman's eyes knitted shut as he grimaced slightly. “I'm worried about him. I want to help but... he'd only find out who I am.”
“Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he knew you were here considering you just agreed to play Veronica.” So that's what that was about. Roman sighed as he flicked through his messages again. Kai's his friend yes but he's also his agent/manager. For Roman to have offered and accepted the part with out first talking about it to Kai was like a slap to the mans face.
“I'm sorry...” Roman laid back in emotional exhaustion as he just stared up at the ceiling. “Plus, that's not really true. Anx would know that Roman Black is here but... Princey is a different story. He doesn't know that I'm Princey so... He doesn't know that I'm here.”
“Roman... Something else on your mind?”
“There's someone I met today, who for no real reason makes me think he's Anx. His name is Virgil and...” Kai's eyes went wide.
“The guy you talked your old Drama teacher into letting be JD?” Roman nodded sadly.
“The guy who I also possibly gave an attack to just by being there...” Kai's eyes only got wider.
“They both had an attack?” Roman shrugged as he once again just started at his phone.
“I didn't see Virgil actually have an attack but... something happened to him and then Anx texted me having one so...” Roman let out a shaky breath as he shook his head. “I just don't know what to do, Kai.”
“Well... Anx has been slowly letting you in right. He's been telling you more about himself so... Why don't you use that?” Kai laughed at the sudden thoughtful and stunned expression the Roman had as he pushed himself against his head board. “I'm just saying... If you want to know without outright asking than you need to find more simularities. Or...”
“Or?”
“Or you can just sneak a peak at his cellphone?” Roman's eyes went wide as he looked over at his friend with a smile.
“Why didn't I think of that?!” Roman laughed at his own stupidity until his phone went off. Looking down he could see he got a text from Patton and he smiled.
