"You were amazing, Virgil." Virgil smiled as he stood there stunned at all the praise he was getting.
"Thank you. I really appreciate it." Virgil's eyes darted around as more and more people came to see him. Of course the moment he spotted the abnormally huge crowd of people he started to smile. Virgil sighed as he slowly started to make his way over and froze up seeing Roman smiling brightly... with shaking hands hidden behind his back. "Well, there's my Ronnie." Roman's eyes widened as people burst out laughing around us.
"I thought you blew up?" Virgil just shrugged suppressing the laugh that wanted to come out.
"A master of death as myself... Doubtful." Virgil smirked as he walked over instantly being pulled in by Roman, who wasted no time placing a soft kiss to his cheek. "Roman!"
"I told you... Let them stare. I don't care anymore." The whole Roman went silent as Roman pulled Virgil in even closer. "People were just asking me what my next plan is. Now that I'm out of Hunters Wake and this play is over..."
"Yeah?" Virgil shook slightly as Roman nodded much calmer now that Virgil was there. "W-What were you telling people?"
"Well, I said I was thinking of taking a step back." Virgil's face fell as Roman laughed. "I spoke to you about it. I even brought it up with Remus and he's excited about the possibility of acting together."
"Remus? Who's..." Virgil recognized that voice right away.
"Oh no. Not gonna happen." Virgil stepped out in front of Roman who frowned in confusion as Virgil glared at the crowd. "I thought this crowd was a bit too big for comfort. No interviews."
"Virgil..." Virgil shook his head as he put his hands on his hips. "It's ok."
"No it's not. NO INTERVIEWS!"
"So is this the next Damien Dark then?" Virgil growled as he actually went to go attack the reporter only for Roman to hold him back with a smile.
"No. He's not. Damien was a good friend." Virgil wanted to scream as Roman just continued to smile. "Virgil here is more than that to me."
"So the next Ameilia... either way the endings the same."
"Ok listen here asshole." Virgil yanked himself out of Roman grip making the other tumble forward. "You can put this on the record and even send it to them."
"Virgil, what are you doing?" Virgil stood himself straighter running a hand through his hair as he smiled wide.
"I hope their engagement is long and fruitful one." Roman froze up eyes wide as Virgil beamed... obviously he was pretending but still. "I hope they live their lives in happy and whole bliss. I hope they have that family they spoke of having. I hope they spend every moment they can in each others arms just being able to be together." Virgil's face fell making the reporter tense up and look between the two. "I hope they're happy... Because they lost an amazing person. I hope they wake up in the morning and look in that mirror and smile. I hope they feel no remorse."
"Virgil, hun, maybe you shouldn't..."
"I hope their happy because I will spend every single moment I can with Roman making him happy." Roman couldn't stop the smile that began to show. "I will be doing what they said they would. I'll be holding Roman tight. I'll be wiping his tears away. I'll be there to comfort him when he feels down. I'll make the pain go away." Virgil took a step closer, eyes shining with protective devotion as his fist clenched. "I'll be the one who loves him. Unlike the fuckers who used him... I'll support him and his dreams. So you can take this to your news report and bank on it. When it comes to Roman... I'm the ONLY one who'll be standing beside him through the rain. Ask Damien... Ask Ameilia... Actually no." Virgil laughed as he pointed to the camera clearing talking to everyone he knew would end up watching this. "Watch the videos, yourself. Do the research. Then ask yourself the kind of friends... those two were. Leave us the fuck out of it."
Virgil spun around and dragged Roman right out of there. He didn't waste a single moment. In fact the moment they got out of there, despite the crowd that still hovered about them, and kissed Roman right there in the falling leaves. Roman shuddered as his knees almost gave out making Virgil laugh as he deepened the kiss to an almost harsh and aggressive level. Roman's eyes went wide as he pulled away suddenly, noticing the tears that fell from Virgil's eyes.
"Virgil, what's wrong?" Virgil lightly punched Roman's chest as he tried to hold back the sobs.
"Don't... Don't ever do that again." Roman frowned pulling Virgil in as he cried. "Just don't..."
"Don't what Virgil?" Virgil gripped his shirt tightly as he buried his head into Roman's chest.
"Don't ever make them out to be good people Roman. Not when I'm still trying to help fix the damage they've caused you."
