"Virgil Grey is dating Roman?"
"Did you hear..."
"I heard Virgil dragged him away from everyone."
"Seemed very possessive."
"You heard what he said to that reporter, right?"
"He was very aggressive."

"Oh, look who it is." Virgil froze the moment he walked into the door. Jones frowned from their desk as Virgil's eyes darted about. One of the men sitting in the front just laughed. "Roman's latest boy toy."

"I think you meant it the other way round." A girl called out making Virgil's throat start to close up. "After all it's Virgil's whos keeping Roman on a leash."

"That's enough!" Logan called out as he slammed his books down on the table. "We are all adults, not school-age bullies. Grow up and leave the man alone!"

"No, it's ok." Virgil smiled as his hands shook. "They're all entitled to their opinion. They may believe what they want."

"You all treated us for just talking but you actually went and did it. Roman's easy and you went ahead and took advantage of that." Virgil's eyes darkened as he expertly held back the tears that wanted to tear through him. "You've got him wrapped around your finger. You even got him saying he'd give up his career for you."

"He's not giving his career up." Virgil just stood there with an empty smile not bothering to move away from the door at all. "He'll go back to LA eventually."

"Virgil, he just told everyone he was staying. He's going to give up everything for you. Just like you wanted right? I mean... Roman's rich as fuck and now your set for life."

"EVERYONE SILENCE!" Jones jumped up this time only for Virgil to laugh. "Virg..."

"You all can have your opinions of me but let me get one thing through your heads. The only reason you all have these accusations is because those are all thoughts that past through your mind. Had I not 'got' to him first as you put, you all would have attempted it. In fact, many of you have even while he was taken. Remember that when you cast your stone... look in the damn mirror first." Virgil spun right around on his heels and walked right out of there. He couldn't breathe. Everywhere he went people were talking. They stared as he passed them. Every dirty look... Every mean comment that passed their lips, Virgil heard and saw it all. He fumbled for his phone before he even got out of the building.

PrinceProtectionProgram: AuRA

Virgil stumbled falling to his knees the moment he got into his house. His tears fell like uncontrollable waterfalls that spilled with no end in sight. He clenched his chest as he struggled to breathe but the air just wouldn't come.

MyLove: Virgil, what's wrong?
PrinceProtectionProgram: cant breathe
PrinceProtectionProgram: Ro i need u
MyLove: Just tell me where you are and I'll be there.
PrinceProtectionProgram: home

MyLove: I'm on my way, Virgil. Try going somewhere you feel safe and secure until I get there.

Roman jumped up and started grabbing everything only to get stopped by Patton with this look in his eyes.

"Roman, what's going on? You got a text and you suddenly got anxious. Is it Virgil?" Roman nodded as he shoved his things into his bag. "Kiddo, talk to me."

"He sent me the code word." Patton's eyes went wide as Roman narrowed his. "He said he's at home."

"His closet." Roman froze up as Patton offered his a sad smile. "It's where he goes when he's having a bad one. If he's at home, he'll be there."

"Thank you, Patton." Roman ran off nearly losing his bag as he forced his way through the people.

Virgil was struggling just to push himself off the floor. His body shook so bad he just didn't have the strength in him to move. At least not walking anyway. He dragged himself to his room falling through the open door as he cried. He pushed himself up and to his closet managing to open the door before his body gave out.

"VIRGIL!" Roman burst through the door making his way to the bedroom only to freeze at the sight before him. Virgil sat there curled up in his closet, door wide open, as he sobbed and clenched his hair so tightly he was practically pulling it out. "Virgil?"

"R-Ro..." Virgil's voice cut out as he looked up and Roman literally broke seeing the absolute pain in those red puffy tear-stained eyes. "Help."

"It's ok." Roman knelt down beside Virgil only for the man to pull him in and hold on to him for dear life. Roman sighed and rubbed Virgil's back with a soft smile. "It's ok. I've got you, love."

"R-Roman... I'm sorry." Roman narrowed his eyes slightly as Virgil shook. "I'm sorry. I'm sorry."

"Shh. It's ok. You've done nothing wrong, Virgil. What could you possibly be apologizing for?"

"I'm sorry." Virgil shifted resting his head against Roman's chest as he just breathed him in. "I'm sorry. I just... I don't want to be alone."

"You don't ever have to worry about that Virgil. I'll never be too far away." Roman ran his fingers through Virgil's hair as he pressed his lips gingerly against Virgil's forehead. "You'll never be alone Virgil. I'll never leave you." Virgil frowned as Roman carefully picked himself up, Virgil in his arms, before making his way to the bed. "I don't want to leave you."

"But... what about LA?" Roman tensed as Virgil's voice shook and everything clicked.

"Virgil, is this about all those nasty rumors?" Virgil didn't respond he just pressed himself further into the man who held him tight as they laid together in bed. "Babe, it's ok. I know the truth. I know you care for me. Just as I know you would hurt whoever dared to try to use me. I never once paid them any mind. You don't have to worry."

"You've decided?" Roman nodded as Virgil's eyes darkened.

"I'm staying." Virgil's eyes flashed before they started to mist up again. "I might even go back to college and actually finish this time. What do you think?"

"You're... staying." Roman held him tighter seeing Virgil crying again. "But..."

"No buts Virgil. I'm staying because I want to." Roman smiled as he kissed Virgil softly. "I love it here. I love being here. I love being with you. I don't want to leave."

"Stay with me." Roman tensed hearing Virgil's voice shake. There was clearly something on his mind but Roman decided not to push. "Just for the night. Don't let me go." Virgil met his eyes and it was like they were the only ones left in the world. "I want just one happy night with you."

"Virgil..." Roman sighed as he smiled and nodded pulling him back in. "I'll never let you go."
