"Et voilà, the lady's drink I promised" Alex said as he sat down next to her in the small carousel and handed her the drink. They discovered a small and old playground behind the house, where no other guests would get lost there and decided that he would care for dinks while she would try to 'steal' some food from the kitchen because both were hungry and the dinner wouldn't be served soon.
"Perfect" she said with a smile and showed him her prey that was standing on the turntable in the middle, that was used to make the carousel start moving.
"How on earth did you manage to get this cake?" he asked with a smirk as she shrugged and took a first sip from her drink.
"High Heels and Lipstick I guess, maybe you should also try that Alex"
He noded "I'll send you a pic then" making her laugh "Can't wait" she said and took a cigarett from the pack he was holding towards her
Alex also took a cigarett "May I ask you something?" he asked and took a sip from his gin.
She noded and made the caroussel move slowely by giving the turntable a gentle push and making the whole carousel with them on it turn very slow. He leaned to her, lighter in his hand and allowed her to light her cigarett, what she did and took a deep drag.
"Did you hide on the toilet or did you want to steal my fire?" he asked while doing the same with his cigarett.
Both were spinning slowely with the carousel they were sitting in.
"Probably both" she answered and handed him a fork for the cake that was between them on the turntable.
"Tell me Alex, what stories have you heared so far about me?"
He was surprised and took a fork of the delicious looking cake "Nothing" he said telling the truth.
"I think it was your cousin who wanted to tell us something, but we cut him off"
She noded and flashed him a smile "Andrew probably, this bastard will probably never forgive me for when I was babysitting him when he was seven and I didn't let him watch the porn channel" she said and also started eating some of the cake.
"I wouldn't forgive you either" he said and managed to make her laugh.
"No I just wanted to avoid the people in the ladie's room"
"I see, well I would say thanks to you we both have a better day now, I don't knwo about you, but for me this wedding wasn't really a blast to be honest"
"Where are you from?" she asked suddenly
 "Guess" he smiled.
"Hmm...defenitely somewhere north, but you somehow sound like someone who desperately tries to sound like he would spend time in america, but he tries to still keep his roots. But a little too much trying involved, more like wanna-be american. So people would ask him weather he's spending time in america"
"Worked, didn't it?" he had to smirk, she indeed loved to play with words.
"Indeed" she also smiled and kept on smoking.
"I'm just affraid you wouldn't understand a word if I'll speak in my full Sheffield-glory"
 "Hmm.. Sheffield it is"
 "But what about you?"
 "Guess"
"You sound like you've lived in Ireland, but concidering your age and the fact that you have relatives who are here on the wedding and from around Manchester as I remember, that can't be true, can it"
"Wow, I'm impressed, you've just summed up my entire life in one sentence" she threw the cigarett away "I grew up near Manchester, but moved to Dublin when I was fourteen."
 "And now?"
"guess" this was getting like a game slowely, but both were ok with this sort of conversation.
 Alex took another fork.
"Hmm... when you finished school you met a guy from a freakshow at a bakery, he could swallow fire-swords and you immediately fell in love with him, he was moving to London with his freakshow and because you had nothing holding you in Ireland, you decided to follow him. But before you could move together, you caught him cheating on you with the 'snake-woman'. So instead of leaving him you prepared his swords that were actually fake and replaced them with real ones so in the next show he would swallow them and die, and everyone would think it was an accident  and now you're professional assasin in London" he finished his story and could see that she liked whith who'm she was spending her time, that he was worth it.
She smirked "I eventually also poisened the snake-woman"
"Then I should better be careful to take food from you" he answered and look suspicious at the cake on his fork that was on it's way to his mouth.
"Charming but deadly" she said and leaned closer to him, her hand fining it's way to his suite-jaket and the inside of it and to the breast pocket where she fished out the lighter.
Charming but deadly, he repeated in his head and watched her how she lighter her next cigarett.
"So now to you..." she said and watched him "You and your two friends know since kindergarden and after school you didn't know what to do and so decided to become a male stripper-group. And...you're trying to become real stars with it, Dita von Teese is your great idol and all you want in your life is to dance in a giant champagne glass?"
"Margarita, I'm more of a Margarita guy, but except from that, pretty accurate"
A small moment of silence, but not an uncomfortable one.
"I'm here because Josh wanted me to, but he's ignoring me, I should have known it" she sounded a little more serious
"Same here. Nora wanted us to come because we went to school with her, but she didn't even say hello to us"
 "Won't your stripper-boys miss you?"
Alex laughed quietly "Maybe Matt allreay found a bridesmaid and Jamie probably thinks I'm hiding in the kitchen, so no, they probably won't miss me until we drive back"
 "Sheffield?"
 "London"
"Me too, my boss wants this guy to be killed by monday" she kept this assasin joke going.
"Then I'll better won't make you angry"
"Till now you're on a pretty good way of making everything perfectly fine" she said and gave him a small smile .
She was special in his eyes, he never had such an easy and not forced conversation with a woman. She just had a good amount of humor and the ability to not take everything too serious, that was important in his eyes.
"Pew, lucky me" he smiled back.
She noded and gave the carousel another gentle push. It had something calming. Actually the whole situation was calming and relaxed and Alex asked himself if she knew who he was, that he was in a famous band, and just didn't ask him about it or if she really did not know it. Either way he was glad that he did not need to talk about. It gave him the feeling that he sometimes missed, being 'normal'.
By the she was actually glad that she had went to the men's room, alex seemed to be a guy you can spend good time with and this day was turning out better than she had thought and she actually hoped that it would stay like that while she sipped at her Bloody Mary that he had bought her.
