Abby opened one eye sleepy and all she saw in the dim light that came inside her livingroom, was a messy quiff falling into a calm and beautiful face with closed eyes.

It took her some moments to remember how on earth she had ended up laying on her couch, next to him, but then she remembered.

After Alex had shown up with those ridicilous beautiful flowers, that had probably cost as much as she had to pay for her appartment per month, he stood for a glas of wine, and for a second one and third.

He was sitting on the kitchentable while Abby sat on the counter of her kitchen and told him all she had learned for the test while he noded, gave an improving 'Mhm' from time to time while sipping at the wine.

Alex had helped her to get the rest about elisabethan literature and poetry into her brain, like he did on the train. Actually he was a really good study-partner she had thought. He was patient, could read and listen at the same time, corrected her in a nice way when she said something wrong.

It was about eleven when they finished the last page and actually she did not really want to let him go. She had to confess to herself, that she would feel lonely if he had left, and having company actually felt good.

It was so easy when he was around, unlike with most other people she knew.

And what was really important even though she knew he was interested in her, he did not have any intention in taking what he might wanted.

He let her know in a very charming way that he would then go, when she told him to, but would like to stay as long as possible, as long as she would allow him to stay.

Abby felt that he would accept and take her rules, something she couldn't say about other people she had met.

After their 'learn-group' was finished, their first bottle was as well and somehow they had started to talk about music and discovered that they both had something for Oasis, and so it came that they ended up on the couch with more wine and talking about whatever came to their minds.

She looked at the clock and sighed, it was half past three, the time she usually woke up, no matter when she'll go to bed.

She knew it was no good sighn and that she slowely should concider the option to get some help on that, but not now.

Abby slowely got up from the couch and streched herself. The position she had fallen asleep in wasn't too comfortable and she really asked herself how Alex had managed to fall asleep there.

He looked calm and peaceful as he slept, his lips slightly parted, breathing out through them.

Alex looked like there was nothing evil on this world that could hurt him or anyone else around him, her included.

She had to smile to herself. Damn this man was just too cute.

She tiptoed to the table, took the pack of cigaretts and because nothing else was available, his jaket over the chair, where he had put it when he came up.

She took the jaket on and then quietly opened the door to the small balcony and stepped outside. The wind was chilly, but it was what she needed.

She searched in his jaket and soon found a lighter. It was a heavy one, probably expensive as hell.

She lighetd herself one and exhaled slowely.

Abby closed her eyes and sighed, lately she didn't even manage to sleep three hours straight.

She always woke up and it took ages until she found some rest again.

Sometimes she didn't even bother to go to bed and instead just made stronger coffee and watched a show.

Abby leaned against the rail and closed her eyes, she took some deep breaths from the cold air until suddenly she shut her eyes open again and took a sharp, surprised breath because she felt a hand on her shoulder.

She turned towards him and smiled when she saw how he yawned and rubbed one eye.

„ sorry...I fell asleep I'm araid“ he said, his voice sounding still sleepy and rough.

She handed him her half finished cigarett „Me too...I'm just not really good in sleeping long, that's all“ she said and he took the cigarett between his lips.

Alex noded „Same here. I never sleep more than four hours.“ he took another drag, held it and let the smoke escape through his lips.

He held the non gliming side towards her and she simply let him softly put the cigarett between her lips. She took it and also had a drag before handing it back to him.

„And what are we doing now?“ she asked and looked at him.

Alex extinguished the cigarett in an ashtray standing around and shot her a smile.

„Depens on wheather you want me to stay or not...“ he said and looked into her eyes, knowing the answer already.
