With every step she took towards her door, Abby's heart started to beat faster, she would really give this man access to her holy and safe appartment. She wasn't afraid he could do something to her, Alex wasn't that type of man, not at all. She had met such way too often, so she was hundred percent sure, Alex was the complete oposite of such dumb assholes. She pressed the orchids against her chest and cimbed the last steps, waiting for Alex who followed her with a smile.
She was more afraid of what Alex would think of her when entering. Especially now, her appartment was exactly like she was. And Alex would see it. Abby usualy built up a small wall around her when being with someone who cought her interest. It was like a challenge for this person and if he succeeded in getting over this wall, she would allow access to herself.
But she knew herself, at the latest, she had given him exactly this access after their dance in the pub. From then on she had no chance in building up anything. And maybe this was good, she thought. A new way for a new and different man.
Abby opened the door and went past the entry with her leatherjakets and boots all tidy in a row, straight to the livingroom, that was also her place to study, read and draw with a rather small but cozy couch, a bookshelf that was impressive and over the whole wall, a small TV, which she actually never really used, her music player with the big boxes and an extra desk for her drawings.
Then there was the kitchen that got separated from the rest only by a small counter.
The kitchentable was where she had sat earlier and there were still all the Shakespeare papers and books and her notes all over the place.
She thanked herself for changing the music, hearing himself when getting in, would have been an awkward moment for sure, for both.
"Well...my home" she said and turned around, watching him how he observed the whole place, trying not to be too curious.
"Probably not what a Rockstar like you is used to.."
Alex had to laugh by her words.
"If you knew where we sometimes have to sleep." he saw that she was a little tiny bit nervous about what he would say to her home, because he felt how much it was reflecting herself, and he loved what he saw, her appartment was beautiful, personal and with so many small twists and hints in the decoration, about stuff she liked.
And the whole decoration only proved more, that she was defenitely a special person, but Alex knew that already.
He smiled at her "I love your appartment, much more cozy than mine...I think you'll get difficulties in getting me out again"
She had to laugh and it seemed that by his words the bit of nervousity was just falling off her.
"Let's give those beauties some water...I don't even want to know what you've paid for those!"
He followed her into the kitchen where she put the bouquet on the counter and searched for a vase.
It gave him the chance to look around a little more.
There was a huge amount of postcards from around the world hanging on the wall next to the window.
A glas of wine and bottle stood next to the window, on which he had thrown th esmall stones. He knew how cheesy this had been, but he thought she might like the idea and it seemed as she did.
She stood in front of a cupboard over the stove and was on her tiptoes to reach for the highest shelf where she thought a vase should have been.
She got something that felt like it but before she could take it, she tripped somehow and was about to fold over and probably even hurt her ankle when Alex was quicker and soft but strong held her by her hip and prevented her from falling "Hey careful Mardy Bum" he said smiling and suddenly his voice was even more attractive than ever before, he chewed on every word, soaking it in his thick accent. A feeling, tension was building between them, she could feel his warm breath against her neck, she closed her eyes for a moment, glad he couldn't see her. She wished he would never leave again.
He stood so close to her that he saw something he hadn't noticed last night. She wore her hair up to a rather messy bun and he could see that she had a tattoo on her neck, a victorian looking birdcage.
Suddenly he felt the need to kiss her neck, hug her, just feel her, but he was smarten than to do so.
Abby cleared her throat quietly "I'm sorry..." she turned around and leaned against the stove, looking at him while he kept his hands were they were, at her sides "Well...my brother started to call me Bambi because I'm so clumsy...I think he has a point" she said and smiled, nearly shy.
Alex had to smirk by her words "Don't worry, I'm not better. Matt constantly tells me that it's a wonder I havn't broken something on stage yet"
She smiled and didn't even blush by her nearly accident.
"Ehm..Alex...could you maybe...the vase, you're a little taller than me" she said and he noded.
Actually he wasn't that tall for a guy, but tall enough to get the glas vase for her.
He filled it with water and then carefully put the orchids inside and put the whole vase on the counter.
"They're beautiful" she said when he finished.
"But you know...actually you could have given me a cactus and I would have been happy" she grinned.
"Well I'll keep that in mind for the next time"
"How did you get here?"
"Walked" was his simple answer and both had to smile because of last night when she had made him see why walking home in the night had something.
"Good, then I can offer you something to drink. Your luck, I just opened a bottle of my favourite wine."
"Should I feel honored now that you're sharing it with me?"
"You defenitely should!"
Alex smirked and took off his leatherjaket and put it over a chair.
"I love your style by the way" he said when she got a second glas for him and pourred the red wine in it.
She looked down at herself, then at him.
"Oh yes...who could resist a worn out sweater from my brother and some kneesocks, god I'm so haute couture really" she said in this ironic tone that managed to make him smile.
"I like it" he defended himself and took the glas she was handing him while getting near.
They stood close to each other and she clinked her glas softly against his while looking into his brown eyes "To clumsyness and broken bones then" she said softly and took a sip from it. Alex noded and did the same, this really must have been the best quality wine he ever drank in his whole life. But in fact it could have been warm coke and he would still loved it, because of the person he was sharing it with.__
I got the word 'broken' to put in here, well maybe it got in a different direction than the person who gave me thought it would :) hope you all like it xx
probably the last part for now, the coming week will be living hell, I mean it, all about it sucks, even now, so I'll probably upload something the next weekend. hope your week will get better than mine
