"How comes we always end up on the men's toilet- ouch!" Alex said, trying to be funny as Abby tried to whipe away the blood from his temple, but she gave him a rather serious look and simply continued.
He feared that she was pissed at him because he started a fight with this stranger.
They stood in the men's toilet in front of a sink, Abby trying to get the blood, hopefully his own, off him.    "Stand still" she told him and that only made him feel worse. He knew it was childish and not really how grown ups should handle such a situation, to start a fight, butthis guy deserved it. He was insulting her, being disgusting and sexist and Alex just had enough of it.
She kept on cleaning the wound on his cheek that was bleeding a little but did not look into his eyes, even though she knew he was watching her, yearning for eyecontact.
After a while of silence she threw the blood soaked tissues in the bin.
She looked at his face "You won't need cosmetic surgery, a few days of healing maybe" she said and Alex noded. He hated himself because he was sure she would just simply want to go home after this. He was sure that he managed to screw it up again, like alway and all he wanted was to shut out the world andget drunk. Maybe he would when being at his again, for sure without her. He looked down, but when he lifted his head again because heheared her laugh, he was more than confused. But Abby kept on giggeling by his confused expression and simply took his hand, the right one, with which he had punched that guy. She stood in front of him and turned on the water to hold his hand under the water stream. He stood with his chest nearly touching her back, because she wanted it like that. Abby looked up and into the mirror to meet his eyes and smirked "You thought I'd be pissed and angry because you did that, right?"
Abby kept on holding his hand under the water and continued looking at his eyes.
Alex had to smile, he noded, which made her grin even wider. He was cute she thought.
"Well...I'm not utterly happy...but it happened...it was actually somehow cute, you know"
Alex was relieved, she was not angry at him, good.
"But" she started and turned the water off and took a new tissue, whith which she dried his hand and the turned taround to face him "I can take care of myself, ok. I don't need a Batman to save me. I would have handled it without you beating this guy up a little. I don't like the feeling that I would need someone to handle things for me, just so you know" she said and Alex noded "I understand. I'm sorry. It was just.,...this guy was disgusting and-"
"I know. Just let's not talk about it, alright? It happened and now it's forgotten" she smiled and then took his hand up so it was one the sam elevel as her face. "Batman" she whispered and then put a soft kiss on his still a little hurting and red knuckles, to kiss it better.
Alex had to smile and took her hand with his not hurting one "Smoke?" he asked, like he did at the wedding and Abby noded and lead her strong knight out of the bar.

"You still owe me a drink...again" she said as they stood under the roof of a building, smoking while the rain fell down in front of them. "Oh really do I ?" he asked playfully and Abby noded "Indeed, first you tell me you make the best margaritas of the world, then we have to leave the bar because of you, now I want at least some drinks" she announced. Alex noded "I see...well it comes that my appartment isn't tow far away actually"
"Hm...really?!" she smirked "What a coincidence" she said but then smiled "Sure, why not, then I'll se how the great rockstar lives...how exciting"
"Many girls would give much to see that"
"Like Sam" she said and smirked.
Alex laughed "Indeed. Well I was a little afraid she could pass out or anything"
 "Don't worry" Abby smirked.
They finished their cigarettes and she opened her umbrella, for him to join her. He did so and hooked his arm into hers again and started walking towards his appartment.
The wind was stronger and the umbrella failed in keeping them save from the rain.
They were already soaking wet all over when suddenly  heavier wind came from the front and forced the umbrella to turn it's inside out and also the wind was strong enough to ripp the umbrella out of Abby's hand and it landed directly in the Thamse, next to which they were walking.
Abby and Alex looked at each other and then both started to burst out laughing, the rain hitting hard on them. She looked at him, into his eyes that appeared nearly black at that moment, his hair falling into his forehead. She took a step foreward and stroke his hair out of his face, stroking it back.
She left her hand on his wet cheek and did not mind at all how the rain was wetting both to the bone.
Abby still locked her eyes into his and got closer and closer and without any words kissed him on his water-wet lips. Alex put his arms around her, one hand burried into her wet and extremely curly hair. Their lips were molding into each others, moving, slightly biting down on the others, teasing, playing, tasting. She invited her tongue into his mouth, letting the kiss develope, deeper, more intimate. He joined in of course. Water was running down both their faces while they shared this kiss in the darkness. Before she pulled away she bit his buttom lip playfully and smiled at hims as he opened his eyes again, she could still taste him. Autum, she thought, he tasted like autumn. Alex took her hand and started walking again, they did not need words at all. She let him guide her and smiled, this whole evening was perfect.
