Chapter 10

"Is everything alright Miss Min?" Jinyeong heard the teacher call and the class snickered. Jinyeong just nodded her head, stuffed the note into her back pocket, and got ready for the lesson. She tried hard to focus on what the teacher was teaching, but was absent-mindedly taking the notes. Jinyeong couldn't stop thinking about the note she received. It didn't even have a name. Jinyeong knew who it wasn't. It was not Mark Lee, he was nice and they talked casually sometimes. It wasn't Yugeyeom considering she has been friends with him for years. Well, friends is a stretch. They used to hang out when Namjoon took her to business dinners when she was younger. They hung out from time to time, but lost contact after a while. Jinyeong discreetly looked around at any girls who might have left the note. She crossed off Joy, Yeri, Jisoo, Olivia, and Jija. They were the only girls there.
The bell rang, scaring Jinyeong. She gathered her things into her bag, hearing some people approaching her.
"Um, hey Jinyeong." Jinyeong turned around and saw Yugeyeom.
"Hey Yugeyeom. How are you?" She asked politely.
"I'm pretty good. Is, uh, is everything okay?" He asked, sounding wary.
"Yeah of course. Why wouldn't it be?" Jinyeong replied, starting to walk out of class together.
"Well, I saw the note on your desk." Yugeyeom watched Jinyeong freeze for a second before plastering on a smile.
"It's nothing. Probably just someone playing a prank. I wouldn't worry abou-" Jinyeong was cut off by Jungkook running up and hugging her.
"oh my god thank goodness I was so worried I am so happy you are okay!" Jungkook spoke quickly, releasing a surprised Jinyeong so that he could make sure she was alright with his own eyes.
"um, well, if you think you're good, I'll leave you and your, um... yeah I'm gonna go. Bye Jinyeong." Yugeyeom stuttered and walked away.
"Who is that? I thought Hoseok was your only friend." Jungkook asked sounding jealous.
"Okay nope. I'm not telling unless you explain why you just attacked me in the hallway." Jinyeong responded, making her way down the hall.
"What? Oh. That. I got a- here let me hold your hand- I got a note saying that if I didn't break up with you, I would regret it so I just wanted to make sure you were alright." He responded. "Now tell me who that was. He looks familiar."
"That was Yugeyeom.... You were worried about me?" Jinyeong asked.
"Well of course. You're my girlfriend." Jungkook replied casually.
Jinyeong blushed, assuming he only said that because there were people in the hall.
"What class do you have?" Jungkook asked.
"I have a free study period. I usually go to the library." Jinyeong said, starting up to the second floor library.
"Oh. Sad. I have Calculus." Jungkook said with a pout.
"Oh please. Calculus isn't that bad, Kook." Jinyeong smiled and opened her bag to get her library keycard, letting go of Jungkooks hand (causing the pout to reach extreme levels).
"You already took it? I thought we were in the same grade."
"Yeah. I took all my maths and language classes last year. I only have Korean History, Chemistry, Psychology, and Engineering Productions." Jinyeong replied, pulling out her card.
"Oh. Wait you took your language courses too?" Jungkook was dumbfounded. She was so smart, it was impossible.
Jinyeong giggled and replied, "I go to an English academy over summer for four weeks, so I don't have to take the course here."
"oh. That makes sense."
"Jungkook."
"yeah?"
"You can't come in here with me. You have a class."
"oh yeah." Jungkook pouted.
"See you after for lunch?"
"Okay. Have fun in Calculus."
"Have fun in the library." Jungkook started towards the stairs and began running, already knowing he would be a little late to his class.
Jinyeong just giggled and walked in.
The period wen't shorter than normal, the internet going down causing the students to be let out to lunch early while they rebooted it. Jinyeong made sure to lock up her bag and books before heading to Jungkooks Calculus class.
Jinyeong thought about the day so far, how being Jungkooks fake girlfriend was.
And then she was scared.

Jinyeong was starting to have feelings for Jungkook.
