Jinyeong opened her eyes slowly, adjusting to the light. Looking around, she noticed she was in a basement, tied to some kind of metal chair, with only a lightbulb above her.
"Wake up already?" she heard someone say.
The same girl that hit her walked up from behind and stood in front of her.
"What do you want? Is this about money? My dads can give you money just please let me go. I won't say anyth-" Jinyeong was cut off by a slap.
"I don't want money, Jinyeong. I want you."
Jinyeong started tearing up, but held her head down. She was determined not to show this girl how weak she was.
"I'm guessing you probably don't know who I am," the girl started, walking around the room as she spoke, "so I'll tell you. My name is Lee Minyoung. You've seen what I look like so I can't really let you go, and seeing as you're willing to pay for your release, well, that just shows me how weak you are."
Jinyeong started to cry silently.
"Oh god, please don't cry. It's not like I'm going to kill you just yet."
That made Jinyeongs stomach lurch and she let out a sob.
"God, they're always so noisy. Look, this isn't a random murder, if that's what you're thinking. You just happened to be the one girl that Jungkook loved, and It. Wasn't. Me." She slammed her hands on Jinyeongs arms which were secured to the arm rests of the chair, surely leaving a bruise.
"He picked you. Over and over and over. Sure, he slept with other girls, but he did everything for you. Never even noticed me. Even after all the times I had been over, or all the times I had met him at shareholder meetings, he just never gave a shit about me. So, I decided not to give a shit about him. But then he started dating you. He made a nobody into somebody. And not only that, he made a nobody into somebody that everybody wanted to be!" Minyoung screamed the last part, getting to caught up in her anger to realize that Jinyeong was sobbing loudly.
"You were nothing! You didn't mean anything to anyone! You hardly ever spoke, you didn't have any friends, I mean for god's sake, your own parents didn't want you!" Minyoung screamed. "They gave up you and your lame excuse of a brother just so you could be adopted by to married men, which isn't even appropriate! It's probably why your brother turned out the way he did!"
Jinyeong froze at that. She could tear her down, break her, hurt her, hell, kill her, but Jinyeong would never allow anyone to slander the people who she loved the most.
"Shut up."
"What did you say to me?" Minyoung whipped around.
"I said to Shut. Up." Jinyeong was practically growling at this point. "You don't know the first thing about me. You don't know my brother. You don't know my dad's. And you definitely don't know Jungkook."
Minyoung was furious. She slapped Jinyeong and stormed out of the room.
A few hours passed and Jinyeong was left to her own devices, which was nothing, so she was extremely bored. The first hour she had tried to get out, but her bonds were tight and starting to rub raw. The second hour she tried calling out to Minyoung, spewing insults, anything to get her to come back down.
Now, at the third hour, Jinyeong tried to sleep. But she couldn't. She had too many worries. Would Minyoung hurt her brother? What about her dads? What about Jungkook? She wouldn't go after Hoseok, right? Or Taehyung? What if she decided to take it out on herself and Jimin, hurt bother her and her brother? Jinyeong started to cry at that. She knew how sensitive Jimin was, how caring and adoring he was. He wouldn't last a day in her situation.
And for once, Jinyeong was happy that she was the one who was kidnapped and not someone she loved.
Meanwhile, Jungkook, Yoongi, Namjoon, and Jin all made their way to the police station.
Yoongi had heard Jinyeong get hit and dragged away, so he didn't want to take any chances.
Jungkook had heard the girl scream and thought it was Jinyeong, so he ran out (along with many other students) only to find her cellphone.
Namjoon and Jin had both received a call from Jungkook saying that he was with Yoongi and that Jinyeong was gone.
So naturally, the most terrifying men in her life made their way to the police station, Jungkook carrying all of the notes that Jinyeong and himself had received as proof that she didn't just run away.
Thankfully, Jin knew one of the officers working at the time because he frequented his café in the morning, which also meant that he knew Jinyeong, and that she would never just run away. He took statements, working with other officers to try and find out where she might be.
And Jungkook was angry. He left the police station because he needed to blow off some steam before it got too much to handle. So he called the only person he knew to call.
Dialing his number, Jungkook waited for him to pick up.
"Hello?"
"Hey. I need you. Now. Bring your brother too."
"Jungkook is everything okay? You sound pissed."
"..."
"Oh. I'll meet you there."
"I owe you one, Taeyong."
