Jinyeong stood with her jaw to the floor. The one and only Kim Taehyung was crying. In front of her. Apologizing. That doesn't happen. It's not supposed to, at least.
"I'm so sorry you just look so much like her and it's not fair it's just not." Taehyung was full on sobbing by this point.
Jinyeong wasn't a bad person, so she walked over to him and put her arms around him.
"W-w-when I was younger, I had a friend," Taehyung started. "She was a year younger than me and I, well, I thought she was a little annoying." He stuttered often, choking on his own tears.
"Sh-she would always be around me at sc-school and n-n-never asked me f-for anyth-thing. I th-thought she was just wanting to annoy me, that one of m-my friends had just asked her to b-be around me, but then one day she was g-g-gone. I found out that she h-had died. All she h-had ever wan-wanted was to be my friend, to tell someone that sh-she was having a hard time." Jinyeong could hardly believe what she was hearing.
"Jinyeong I'm sorry. She killed herself because no one ever listened to her when she t-tried to say that her father was b-beating her. I-I-I c-could have hel-helped her!" Taehyung pulled on his hair. Jinyeong grabbed his hands and pulled them around her body, suddenly realizing what Taehyung was talking about.
Jinyeong looked like the girl who had caused him pain.
"Taehyung I'm so sorry. You could have just told me, you know. I would never think you were weak or out of order. If you had just told me why you were mean I would have listened." Jinyeong hugged Taehyung harder as he continued to sob.
Taehyung stopped crying after a while, and the two decided it would be best if what happened stayed between the two of them (of course deciding to become friends).
Jinyeong told Taehyung to go to lunch, that Jungkook was probably looking for him.
"Thanks again, Jinyeong. I know I was an asshole, and it wasn't right. I am really, really sorry." Taehyung spoke softly.
Jinyeong looked at him and smiled. "There is nothing to apologize for anymore, Taehyung. It's all in the past."
Taehyung smiled and bid her goodbye, heading down the hall to the lunch room.
Jinyeong smiled and made her way up to the roof, where she found Hoseok and some other guy talking to each other quietly.
"Hobi?" Jinyeong called out.
Hoseok and the mystery man quickly turned around, and that's when Jinyeong realized what was happening.
They weren't talking. They were making out.
