Jinyeong looked at Jungkook before grabbing his hand and pulling him down the stairs.
"Please slow down I don't know what's going on!" Jungkook exclaimed.
"It's my other dad! You'll love him! I also know that he won't give us a lot of time to get down there." Jinyeong finished explaining just as they made it to the kitchen where Jin was already starting to make dinner.
He turned around, looking Jungkook up and down multiple times before walking up and sticking out his hand.
"My name is Kim Seokjin. I am Jinyeong's other father. It's a pleasure to meet you, Jeon Jungkook." Jin spoke slowly and with authority, so much so that Jinyeong almost laughed.
"Hello sir. It's nice to meet you." Jungkook shook his hand while bowing, showing respect.
That's where Jinyeong lost it. She couldn't help but laugh at her father who was also struggling to keep it together.
"What? Did I do something wrong? What? Jinyeong you can't just laugh at me!" Jungkook pouted like a child, forgetting that Jin was there.
That's when Jin lost it. He couldn't help himself.
"It's okay kid I'm just messing around with you. Call me Jin. Joonie told me you're a good guy and I trust him so I trust that we will have no problems." Jin said as he turned around to finish the food.
Once it was done, Jinyeong pulled Jungkook to the table and called Yoongi and Jimin from the living room. Jungkook noticed it was like clockwork in the house. Just as they finished setting the table, Namjoon walked in holding a box and his bag. Jungkook had no idea families were actually like this. Perfectly coordinated. Perfectly set. Just perfect in general.
"You guys are a beautiful family. I really envy how effortlessly you love one another" Jungkook spoke, his voice breaking a little at the end.
All he had was his brother. His mom was often gone and when she was home she drank, and his father was never home. He lived in his office. They may have paid the bills but once his brother left for college, Jungkook was alone.
Jin noticed the look in his eyes, knowing that look from the mirror of himself. His parents were never home either.
"Thank you, son. You're welcome anytime you'd like." Jin said it as if they had known each other for years, and Namjoon immediately understood what he meant.
"Of course. Our door is always open for you."
Jungkook looked around. Jinyeong at his side, holding his hand, her brother hugging the love of his life from behind, and her dad's, holding one another as if there was no where else they'd rather be.

And for once, Jungkook felt at home.
