I hear the doorbell ring and I stand up to open the door for whoever might be there. What a surprise! It's Emmett with a bouquet in one hand and a box in the other.
"I told you not to visit me anymore. We are done. What don't you understand?" I hiss.
"Sorry, baby girl, for everything last time. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. These are for you. Please talk to me." Emmett pushes the flowers into my arms.
"Remember, I have a bad voice? Why do you want to hear it?" I say sternly on the verge of yelling.
"Because I love you." He pins me to the wall and kisses me sloppily while reaching his hand up my shirt slowly to attempt to unclasp my bra without my noticing.
"You're drunk again!" I yell, tears in my eyes because of when he promised me he would quit drinking.
"Yes, babe, drunk in love," he replies with a slur. He starts to kneel but trips. Somehow he gets on one knee and says with difficulty because of the alcohol "Callie Evans, I love you and want to be with you forever. Will you marry me?" He opens the little red box to reveal a....pink plastic heart ring that says "I love you."
I look at him in shock and he peers into the box. "Oops, wrong ring," he says rummaging in his pocket for something. He pulls out a fabulous twenty-four carat diamond ring and holds it out.
"Emmett, you know I can't get married yet. I'm only seventeen and I understand you're twenty-one, but I have my whole life in front of me. I love you a ton but can we just be in a relationship without getting married? I forgive you."
"Can I spend the night here? I don't want to go across town to my apartment." he asks.
"Of course, of course. Do you seriously think I would let you go in this state?"
"Thanks a ton, babe. I promise I'll make it worth your while tonight."
"Thanks but no thanks. You're punished, remember. That means no 'making it worth my while', understood?"
"I love when you're mad. You're just so sexy. Can I at least do this?" he says, picking me up in his arms and carrying me over his back all the way upstairs to my bedroom where he drops me on the bed. He takes his shirt off but I hold him back with a "Remember, no sex."
"Okay, okay," he grumbles.
He starts kissing lines down my neck and chest while I tangle my fingers in his hair. Suddenly we both hear the door creaking open.
"Oh, sorry. Everyone sent me upstairs to see if you were going to come back down soon. We are all waiting for you," I hear Louis' voice say nervously.
"Tell them I'll be down in a few," I say trying to push Emmett off me with no result.
He leaves shutting the door behind him loudly. I stand up and start yelling at Emmett saying "Can't you ever control your impulses? Now look what's happened. Louis just walked in on us making out and probably thinks I am a slut to have an older boyfriend."
"What's the big deal?" the one and only stupid Emmett announces having thought it through so thoroughly. Sense a bit of sarcasm there?
"The 'big deal' is that Louis and I have to work together for the rest of the contest and now things are going to be really awkward between us. Now get your butt downstairs and act like nothing happened. Alright?"
So we slowly make our way down the stairs to the dining room where everyone is staring at us.
