Louis' POV
Last night I was reassured that I am in love. Today I want to reassure her that I am the one. Many ways to do that but only one fits me. Inviting her to a concert and singing to her, Yes, that's me. Maybe she'll bring Evelyn along also. I told Niall what Callie said yesterday about Evelyn at breakfast and now I'm on the stage where we're performing tonight. I text Callie to ask her if she'll comes and she responds with a simple "Yes." Inside I am dying from happiness. Suddenly my thoughts are interrupted by Liam's voice.
"Louis, it's...her," he says.
"You mean Callie?" I ask, not sure how she would know where to find me.
"No...Hillary," Liam tells me hesitantly. I groan at the mention of her name. What a perfect day. She just had to ruin it with her presence.
"What does she want now?" I say in a worse mood now.
"I don't know...but she's waiting in the lobby," he states softly.
"Ta-da, here I am. Missed me, honey?" I hear an oh-so-annoying female voice coo. Suddenly she has her arms around me. I lift her hands away almost forcefully and tell her "Not here, alright? Why couldn't you stay put?" I ask dragging her to where I can deal with her privately. Finally we make our way to the dressing room and I slam the door behind us. Almost instantly she's on top of me throwing her Tory Burch purse aside and pushing me down onto the desk. I push her off and aside.
"Look, forget me. It was one night. I'll give you whatever you want. Money? How much? Just please leave me alone and may I recommend to you one psychologist? He works miracles, I tell you," I tell her handing her the shrink's card.
She laughs in a high pitch. "You still don't understand, do you? I don't need money. I need you and definitely not this card," she says, ripping it up.
"You don't know what you want. Listen, I'll buy you one-way tickets to Antarctica and send them to your address. You'll be leaving today and by the way, here. Hopefully you won't be able to rip these up as quickly," I tell her calmly handing her a whole stack of the business cards.
"I'm not that easy to get rid of, Tomlinson, and you know that. I'll be back," she yells over her shoulder retrieving her bag and sauntering out. I come out five minutes later, just to be safe.
"Phew," I come out looking around to be sure she's gone.
"Dude, what's with her? She's like the flu. Every time you think you've gotten rid of her she comes back worse," Niall pipes up.
"She gives me a fucking headache every time," I groan holding my head between my knees.
"Hopefully she doesn't come back," Zayn yells from across the room.
"Alright, I'm gonna take some Advil and let's get back to practice. By the way, Niall, Callie's coming to performance tonight. Maybe she'll bring Evelyn along."
Niall does a silly victory dance and then we all return to practicing.
Callie's POV
I just got a text from Louis asking if I want to come to his performance tonight. I reply that I will but as soon as I chuck my phone on my bed and finish jumping around my room merrily I get to worrying. Worrying about what's going to happen, whether he likes me or if he wants to tell me there that he's found someone else, but most of all...worrying about what I will wear.
"Evelyn!" I yell down the hall knowing she's in her room sulking because she hasn't seen Niall yet.
"Yes?" she yells back sounding irritated.
"Come here. I've got some news!" I tell her adding quickly "And I need your help!"
She runs down the hall and flops onto my bed at those words.
"Tell," she says simply.
"Well...are you sure you want to know?" I tease her.
"Of course I want to know...unless you saw Niall making out with a preppy blonde with C-cups," she adds wisely.
"Well, Louis just texted me asking if we wanted to come to their performance tonight. Niall's definitely gonna be there." I tell her knowing she'll freak out on me.
"Of course, of course," she shrieks pulling me up and jumping around.
"Wait, there's just one problem," I say trying to sound disappointed.
"What?" she asks with a frown on her face.
"What to wear?" I yell knowing that will cheer her up.
"Girl, step aside. I've got this under control," she tells me. Fashion was always her strong point.
She pulls out my shelves filled with shoes out of my closet.
"First, shoes," she says matter-of-factly.
"How 'bout these?" I ask holding up a pair of black leather Steve Madden pumps.
"Nah," she says tossing them aside. "Too fancy. We're going for a casual but sexy look. These will work on you," she tells me holding up a pair of white Converse high-tops with studs on the side.
"Ooh, that would work. How about these beige Sperry Top-Siders for you?"
"Now we're talking. Those Converse would go great with that short-sleeved floral dress. And for me, the blue and white striped crop top and off-white skirt with a braided belt."
"Okay, but for accessories?"
"You could wear that long bronze chain with the arrow pendant and I could wear that long silver ring with the cute designs in it."
We try everything on and by the time we finish it is already five. Just enough time to have a light dinner, do our hair and apply makeup since the concert starts at eight. We each eat a little salad just in case they invite us to dinner and then we put on basic makeup consisting of foundation, eyeliner, mascara, and lip gloss. We decide to wear our hair in messy buns. We pack our clutches full with our phones, emergency makeup, and little odd things like...condoms. By the time we get out the door it is seven. We make it to the stadium by 7:30 and head out of the car. I see Louis waving to us from behind the rope. He motions for us to go under it and we all head backstage.
Niall's POV
As soon as I see her looking fabulous as always I want to lift her up and kiss her. Instead I keep my calm and take her hand without words and walk to my dressing room with her to talk...or do other things. By the time we are alone it seems like an eternity has passed. Instantly I lift her up, my hands supporting her by the thighs. "I missed you," I growl kissing her neck slowly making my way down to her chest. She coos "I missed you, too, honey, but we don't have time right now. Maybe after the show?"
"After the show it is," I promise still holding her tight.
"Why didn't you call?" she asks sweetly.
"I was afraid you had forgotten me," I say honestly.
"Far from it," she tells me.
Suddenly I hear the door open and set her down.
"Hey, Niall, we're on in five...Whoa, I didn't know you were busy. Sorry, I came just to warn you," I hear Louis' voice say and then he closes the door from the other side.
"Ugh, I have to go. I'm keeping my word about after the show," I stroke her hair.
"Looking forward to it," she winks.
I walk out with her and go off to get in position. One thing for sure, my feelings are still as strong as they were six years ago.
