Louis' POV

Finally I've found Callie after all these six year have paseed. I run to get my keys and then we walk to the car. We get into the car and I start it up. The car is silent and the air is still. We ride without a word for the first part. Then I try to spark some feelings in her and slowly but surely lay my hand on her thigh.

She replies with a "Yes?"

She startles me and I ask "What?"

"You have your hand on my thigh. You must want to ask me something."

"Oh, I do? Sorry I didn't realize that," I say trying to play dumb and quickly pull back my hand. The rest of the ride is silent until we finally pull into the parking lot of Sainsbury's. We each grab our own shopping cart and make our way through the automatic doors. The first thing we each need to get is bread. As we are picking out the best brand we hear a feminine voice behind us.

"Oh, you're so cute together," she coos.

We swivel around and she continues. "Such a cute couple. It's so great to see some young couples around. It reminds me that there's still hope in this world."

"Thank you," I say before Callie gets a chance to ruin the woman's dreams. I put my hand around Callie's waist pulling her in close for a passionate kiss never returned by her lips. She pushes me away but not before I whisper to her to play along. As Callie turns to face the woman I can see her face is bright red from embarrassment. She says, "That is very sweet of you but..."

"I think we should get going. It was nice talking to you," I intervene before Callie has a chance to burst the woman's bubble. I grab her by the arm, drop a random package of bread in our carts, and lead her away. We finish up our shopping and head to the checkout counter. As we're waiting for the cashier to scan all our groceries, separately, Callie hisses "What the fuck was that, Louis? Has no one ever told you lying isn't good?"

I reply with a quick "Can we talk about this later? Look, she's done scanning your groceries."

I suffer with a look from her that might as well have been two lasers boring holes into my face.

We retrieve our groceries after paying and head to the car. We put them in my trunk and I open the door and hold out my hand to help her in. She pushes my hand aside and roughly gets in, almost falling twice. I stifle a laugh and head to the driver's seat.

"So, explain yourself," she says refusing to forget the incident.

"I didn't want to ruin that woman's dreams. Who knows? Her heart might have slipped if I had told her the truth and then she would have died. Would you have felt better then? Why is it such a big deal?"

"I told you before, I'm not ready. Just try to forget your feelings. It'll be easier for all of us," she says as we pull into her driveway. I hold her arm to stop her from leaving.

"Are you sure it wouldn't be easier if I just did this?" I say, kissing her gently on her soft, luscious lips. "I'll come for you tonight at 7:00. Be ready," I say, not sure what I just did but feeling great.

She blushes, struggling out of my grip and running to her door.

I just hope she comes.

Callie's POV

Do I want more or should I just play it like I've done so far?

We'll see when seven o'clock comes around. Right now I fiddle with my keys and finally grab the correct one. I hear a click as I turn it in the clock and push the French doors open.

"I'm home!" I yell.

"Thank goodness. I had the weirdest dream just now and I got so freaked out when I woke up and you weren't home. Then I saw the note." I hear the voice and then I see the person running out of the kitchen.

"Whoa, calm down. One thing at a time. What was your dream?" I ask warily.

"Well, I was just sitting on a bench in, you know, Doncaster and then I hear a male voice say 'Well, well, well, if it's isn't my Evelyn.' I look up and I see Niall with his fabulous eyes and sexy lips. Then we talk a little and he tells me he lives here. I get really shocked and I run away," she says.

"There might be a little truth to that," I say trying to break the news softly to her.

"WHAT? What do you mean?" she yells out.

"Well, I saw Louis today and we went shopping together. Then something happened, and now, I don't know how, I have my first date with him tonight."

"Oh my gosh, that means Niall might be around. Can you please ask him tonight? I really want to start again where we left off." She licks her lips.

"Ew, Evelyn. He might already have a girlfriend. And I don't even know if I'm going tonight," I say.

"Or maybe it's just like a movie and he's been waiting all these years for fate to return me to him. What do you mean you're not going? You have to go," she exclaims.

"No, I don't. I'll see."

"Well, just don't screw up your chance. That's all," she concludes and runs upstairs, no doubt to claim a room and continue dreaming about Niall.
