Half asleep the next morning I feel soft lips colliding with mine.
"Wake up, sunshine," I hear Louis' cooing voice say.
I sit up in bed and I am greeted with the sight of Louis sitting next to me with a silver tray filled with two mugs of tea and a few English muffins already buttered. The smell of the enticing food makes me sit up alert. He crawls over next to me and sits holding my left hand. Kissing me another good morning he passes me a plate with an English muffin and takes one for himself. I dig in eating eagerly.
"I see you've built up quite an appetite from yesterday?" he teases me.
"Well, yeah. Someone didn't think to take me for dinner last night before getting what they wanted," I joke.
"Oh, so now it's my fault? I didn't just want sex, I wanted a relationship also," he responds.
"Why 'wanted'? You don't want one anymore?" I ask him.
"I'm not so sure anymore," he tells me.
"Fine, be that way," I try to get up in mock anger but instead fall. He rushes to my side and picking me up, lays me back onto the bed. He gets on top of me and brushes a loose piece of hair to the side. "I was kidding. Of course I want to be with you. Please just don't try to walk without my help anymore when you've had such an eventful night," he kisses me on the neck gently.
"I was kidding also. I love you. Wait, you don't trust me to even walk by myself?" I ask him holding back giggles.
"Crap, I said the wrong thing again. Of course I trust you..." He is cut off by a ring resounding through the house.
"Stay here. I'll be right back," he pulls on a tank top and sweat pants and rushing out.
Louis' POV
I head downstairs thinking it's a mailman. What I see is definitely not a mailman unless your definition of mailman is a filthy-rich Beverly Hills blonde who happens to be your ex-girlfriend. Her name is Hillary. She waves at me through the glass French doors. Oops, she's already seen me. Having nothing to lose, I open the door and she runs through engulfing me in her overwhelming scent and her bear hug.
"Hey, babe, I told you I wouldn't disappear forever," she yells loudly her echo coming back to her.
"Shut up. You don't have to be so loud," I whisper.
"Ooh, Tomlinson's got someone over, is that right? Well then, this is to her. This guy's mine and don't touch him, bitch," she yells planting her lips on mine.
"Oops, sorry. I already did. I didn't know he had a stamp with your name on it," I hear Callie's sarcasm-filled voice come from the landing upstairs. Sure enough, when I look up, I see Callie in last night's outfit with her purse on her shoulder. She stomps down and makes for the front doors. I block her with my arm catching her before she can make it to the door handle.
"Look, I can explain. Just not here, not in front of her," I point accusingly at Hillary.
"I understand. You had your way with me and today's a different. day. Just don't make it hard for both of us," she says pushing with no success against me, tears accumulating in her eyes.
I see I'm about to lose her and decide to pull out Niall's card. I get on one knee facing Callie and say solemnly "Callie, please marry me."
She gasps looking astonished but quickly wipes all emotion off her face. "No," she says coldly turning on her heel and out the door. How could I be so stupid to let her go?
Callie's POV
I thought Louis was different. I should have known better than to trust him. Before I break into sobs I rush through my front door ignoring Evelyn's questions and running straight for my bedroom. I hide myself in my covers and cry for at least five minutes. I hear the door creak open and look up to see if it's Evelyn. Of course, it is.
"I just got off the phone with Louis," she says calmly, sitting next to me on the bed.
"I hope you told him to fuck off and never touch me again," I told her angrily.
"No, I feel bad for you but you never even gave him a chance to explain," she answers.
"He was locking lips with some Hillary. What was I supposed to do? Think she came over to help him repeat some lines for his new song?" I ask her.
"Not exactly but you could at least hear him out. He sounded really overwhelmed without you on the other side of the phone. I also saw Hillary drive away a few minutes ago," she reassures me, hugging me.
"Do you really think he's innocent?" I ask wiping the tears away from my eyes.
"Yeah, I do. You really should go over," she pulls away.
"Don't worry. I will. If he's lying there will be hell to pay," I say fierce determination evident in my eyes.
