When the merger happens it's not just the name that changes, Seattle Grace Hospital becomes the new, and somewhat improved, Seattle Grace Mercy West. The lives of the grace doctors change irrevocably with the intruding newbies; some are loved and some are hated but all make an impact on their dark and twisty lives.
The brunette known as Phoebe March is among the newcomers. Her dazzlingly sarcastic, blunt and selectively caring presence upturns the lives of the hospital inhabitants.
The nerves of starting at a new hospital are settled by her closest friends and they take on the challenge scalpels first. But when their oaths of "do no harm" fail them and tragedy strikes, Phoebe clings to her remaining loved ones more than ever.
