The apartment was encompassed in silence. The dark seeming to swallow the noise, allowing the residents a break from the constant noise and chaos.
A soul destroying beep broke through the tranquility of nothingness. The repetitive, high pitched tone pulled a groan from the sleeping doctor. She squinted one eye open to check her pager. Letting out a breath of relief when she realised it wasn't her own. She leant down to the floor, blindly felt around under her bed until she found what she was looking for. Phoebe flung a shoe at the wall to her left, where the beeping whine was coming from. Jackson shot up out of bed. Blinking his eyes in confusion, before finally coming to enough to comprehend that his pager was going off. He scrambled off the bed to grab it and turn it off. With a stretch and a groan he grabbed his clothes off of his desk chair, where they had been carelessly thrown only 5 hours before. With one leg through the leg of his jeans, he heard another pager ring.
With an angry moan, Phoebe reached down for the other shoe chucking it at the other wall. Charles' eyes shot open as his arm shot out, moving to grab his pager but as he rolled over he got caught in his sheet and fell to the ground. With his pager in his hand, he laid there for a moment before turning it off and standing up. Only bruising his dignity. What was left of it at least, after the whole fainting episode.
Being thrown back into the quiet, with the occasional bump and curse from her roommates. Phoebe closed her eyes to fall back into the sweet arms of sleep. When, once again, the high pitch screech of a pager rang out through the apartment. "FUC-"

Rushing over to Owen and Callie, Phoebe dropped a quick apology for being late. Callie waved her off as she had only gotten their seconds before. Catching up on the case, Phoebe learnt that the patient was a fifteen year old girl who fell off the roof of her house. Callie and Phoebe shared a look before turning to Hunt and with a blunt tone stated, "You paged us here at 4am for a couple of broken bones."
"More like 50." He corrected while opening the door to trauma room one.
Stepping into the room, Phoebe's attention went straight to the young brunette's bloody, exposed bone protruding from her arm. Hiding her shock well, Callie and Phoebe took in the rest of her injuries. Legs and hands blue and swollen. Blood dripping down her head onto her face, which was scrunched in pain as she moaned out. The nurse cleaning her wounds let out occasional apologies while staring at the girl with soft, caring eyes.
Taking a side each, Callie and Phoebe made their way down the corridor to the OR with Hunt leading the way. Suddenly, Arizona and Alex appeared next to them with a gurney.
"We need the OR!" Callie yelled over to her girlfriend.
"Well we need it too, we're already on our way." Arizona replied, picking up her pace.
"And where are we Disney World?"
Pushing the gurneys in synchronisation, they both start to speed up. Callie and Phoebe shared a look of determination before starting a small sprint.
