Phoebe awoke to the sun shining brightly directly onto her face. She looked around at her unfamiliar surroundings, and upon seeing the coffee table next to her face, furrowed her brows. As she sat up the memories of the day before flooded her mind and she let out a sigh.  Her thoughts were interrupted by the opening of the bathroom door, she turned to see Mark walking into the kitchen with only a towel wrapped around his waist.

"Morning." He greeted with his typical smile.

"Morning." She returned with a smile, she stood from the couch and stretched away the aches from sleeping on the sofa. She turned to see Mark watching her with a smirk. She scowled at him before pulling the oversized shirt she was wearing down lower so it covered the small shorts she was wearing. She walked around the room to the kitchen so she was leant against the counter.

"Breakfast?" Mark asked as he pulled items from the fridge. Phoebe hesitated at the thought of Mark cooking and shook her head.
"What? I can cook." He defensively added.

"I'm sure you can." She teased, ducking slightly when he pointed a spatula at her in warning.

"That's it. What do you want? I'm making it right now." He demanded, his competitive nature barrelling through to the surface. She let out a loud laugh despite her best efforts and went around him to start up his coffee machine. He caught her and pulled her slightly closer. She was about to reply but the front door opened.

"Hey Mark, have you seen my-" Callie abruptly stopped when she saw the scene in front of her. She took in their attire and close proximity. Her face twisted in confusion before it morphed into a scowl.
"No." She commanded loudly pointing a finger at the pair.
"No." She whined. "You guys didn't."

The pair looked to each other before Phoebe stuttered."No, we didn't. I swear." She stressed to Callie, taking a step away from Mark for emphasis.

"Uh huh." Callie replied unconvinced.

"We didn't! I slept on the couch." She pointed to the blanket and pillows messily strewed across the sofa.

"All night?" Callie asked.

"Yes." Phoebe replied as the same time as Mark chirped in.

"Unfortunately." Phoebe looked to him and pushed him, pulling a laugh from his chest.

Callie squinted at the pair and at their interaction before she commented, "I don't believe you."

"Look, she just got dumped. She stayed here for the night to avoid him." Mark explained.

"Hey!" Phoebe exclaimed, her wide eyes looked to Mark for his blunt explanation.

"What?" He drawled, starting to make breakfast.

"Wait, are you being serious?" Callie asked, closing the door behind her and staring intently at Phoebe.
