Uncle! david bowie x nephew! Reader
Age: 13
1984reader POV
"Uncle David, Please I want to go to the studio too?" I pleaded to my uncle The David Bowie "(Name) again, I'm saying no" he said again for the fourth time today "fine, I guess you want the same thing that happened last time" I said thinking about the last time he left me alone
he left me alone to go to work and I had tried to cook a cake by myself and almost burnt the house down "fine, but you must be on your best behavior that means no touching, no sassing, no interrupting and no leaving the room at anytime until we leave" he said as we left
(at the studio)
"everyone say 'hi' to my nephew" my uncle Said as he put me in front of him, "okay, sit there while I do work" He said as he pushed me to the couch
"Hey, how are you? " One of Uncle David band Members said to me
"Good" I said as I started to get shy that was very rare because I had my uncle confidence "shy it okay, well I got to go" He said as he stood up
" Uncle David, can I do something? " I said looking at him"Sit there quietly is what you can do? " He said as he started vocal warm ups "Why did I think this will be fun?" I mumbled to myself.
(after hours )
I'm still bored with my uncle singing his new song called 'Blue jean' I like it but more fun for what is in the instrument room, so being the devil himself, I walked out without him noticing and into the room I wanted to go with all the instruments my uncle ever played but one caught my eye, it was his old 1972 acoustic guitar from The rise and fall of Ziggy Stardust, my favorite album growing up with my uncle
I sat down on a stool near the guitar before I picked it up, My uncle taught me how to play 'Rock n' roll suicide' on the guitar but never anymore since I didn't really want to sit and play an instrument more wanted to run around and destroy shit that was expensive or wasn't mine.
After a minute or 2, I figured out the rhythm to the song and started playing
(if you can play the song, it doesn't for me when I'm doing it so good luck)
I started singing 'Time takes a cigarette, puts it in your mouth
You pull on your finger, then another finger, then the cigarette
The wall-to-wall is calling, it lingers, then you forget
Oh, oh, oh, oh, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide
You're too old to lose it, too young to choose it
And the clock waits so patiently on your song
You walk past a cafe, but you don't eat when you've lived too long
Oh, no, no, no, you're a rock 'n' roll suicide
Chev brakes are snarling as you stumble across the road
But the day breaks instead, so you hurry home
Don't let the sun blast your shadow
Don't let the milk float ride your mind
You're so natural, religiously unkind
Oh no, love, you're not alone
You're watching yourself, but you're too unfair
You got your head all tangled up, but if I could only make you care
Oh no, love, you're not alone
No matter what or who you've been
No matter when or where you've seen
All the knives seem to lacerate your brain
I've had my share, I'll help you with the pain
You're not alone
Just turn on with me, and you're not alone
Let's turn on and be not alone
Gimme your hands, 'cause you're wonderful
Gimme your hands, 'cause you're wonderful
Oh, gimme your hands' I heard clapping at the end of the song and looked up to see The one and only Ziggy Stardust knowing it was my uncle David dressed up
"And what I've told you about leaving but I'll let it slide for now" He said as he walked in front of me "hey I will let you come to the studio whenever you want but warn me when you leave the studio" He said as he put his hands on my shoulder
"Okay, Uncle David" I said before he picked me up and put me on the ground "now let go out for a walk, I need few pounds off the stomach, so I can fit back in this outfit" He said as we laughed
The end
I may be not active a lot because of school I try posting when i can
