Everything burns. (Part 2)

She ran.

She ran and kept running until she got to the woods.

She didn't care about Loan and Samantha calling her name when they saw her leaving the school grounds only after 2 hours.

She was unable to stop.
She had to run away.

As she entered the comforting embrace of the forest, she couldn't believe she had kissed Sebastian.

What was she thinking? She wiped the tears off her face and only once she was surrounded by trees, she slowed down.

She sat on a tree trunk and wiped her face again. Her brain trying to forget that he didn't seem bothered at all by their kiss.

"What is wrong with me?" She asked to herself, crying the last of her tears quietly.

Meanwhile at the school, Sebastian was still speechless. He couldn't let her go like this, he needed to do something.

He quickly called the secretary's office and told her somebody had trespassed on his property and he had to go.

The secretary canceled all of his class for the rest of the day and Sebastian was out.

As he reached the back of the building he took off his clothes and quickly shapeshifted.

It didn't take him long to pick up her scent and started running towards the woods in his wolf form.

River didn't want to go back to campus, or home.

She didn't know what to do if not staying in the woods until later.

She had texted her dad during class that she was going to help Jones for the rest of day, therefore she couldn't show up at home early nor she wanted to.

After a few minutes, recollecting herself, she had started walking through the forest in silence.

She didn't want to think.
She just wanted to be surrounded by nature.

Nothing else.

Sebastian found her quickly after he got into the woods, but seeing her crying at first, he decided against his will to leave her some space.

He followed her closely from behind the trees, making sure that nothing was going to happen to her.

After a few hours of walking, River become exhausted.

She decided to lay down and just go to sleep, right where she was. She didn't care about danger.

What if a bear would come around and saw her as its next meal? In that moment, she didn't care.

She laid down by a big rock, resting on her side. She closed her eyes and drifted to sleep a few second later.

Sebastian was cursing in his mind, she was being completely careless.

After making sure she was asleep he came out of the shadows and laid down right next to her, keeping her warm as the wind picked up.

She opened her eyes just enough to see her furry friend next to her, smiled with a relaxed sigh and went back to sleep, one arm around Sebastian.

The wolf kept his guard up, watching the sourranding the whole time. It was when the sun went down that he started growing restless.

Something was coming out of the bushes with a predatory walk, stalking the two of them.

The wolf let out a soft growl that woke River up.

"What is going on?" She whispered as she saw her wolf looking at something and growling at it. Regretting her decision to fall asleep in the woods until night, River slowly sat up, trying to adjust her vision to the darkness of the forest.
