Obey. || Sebastian Jones X OC || [COMPLETE]

Chapter XIV.

Nicolae Bartholy.

The day of the ceremony was coming upon them pretty quickly. Soon, both Sebastian and River would have had to prepare for the important night.

Jones was worried for River. Her hand didn't look any better and although Drogo had kept his promise and talked to his brother, River didn't have a chance to stop and take care of herself.

From after their return, her father was so ecstatic about the discovery and the ceremony, that had literally taken her on a tour of his friends' expensive, high society parties.

River was exhausted, but couldn't oppose her father's will. Plus, the pain was really giving her a hard time.

Two nights after talking to Drogo, as River was dragged to one of her father's friends' house, Sebastian was sitting alone in his office reading through books he had ordered online, when his phone started to vibrate on top of the desk.

He had been sitting there for ours trying to find more about the curse that afflicted his assistant. Taking off his reading glasses he rubbed his eyes and then looked at the phone. It was Nicolae.

Nicolae: Good evening Sebastian, sorry I couldn't get back to you sooner. Drogo told me about your assistant. I saw the picture, would you two be able to come to the Mansion tonight? I need to examine the curse to be able to find a possible counterspell or antidote.

Sebastian groaned as he slippd the fingers of his left hand through his hair. He knew Nicolae would offer help right away and he told River that.

But she wasn't there and surely he couldn't go get her without having her get in trouble with her father.

Sebastian was frustrated. He didn't know what to do to get her out of her parent's grasp. She was still scared, still so brainwashed.

He decided to text her before replying to Nicolae.

Sebastian: I miss you. Can I come take you away and run into the night with me?
Nicolae wrote me, he wants to check out you know what.

He sighed and pushed send.
River's answer arrived a few seconds later.

River: I wouldn't want anything more than you taking me away from this. I can't make it tonight, Father has more people for me to meet. I am sorry. I love you.

Sebastian furrowed his brow as he read through her text. He wasn't lying. He really missed having her in his arms until giving her a ride home, every night.

And now the only times he was able to see her it was during class.

Her father was taking away all of her free time and her credits program time too.

Sebastian didnt like it one bit.
He shook his head and read Nicolae's text one more time, then wrote him back.

Sebastian: Thank you for getting back to me, Nic. I really appreciate you taking time to look into this personal matter; with the new pack in town and the Baron's thugs snooping around it has been hectic.
Sadly we can't tonight. River is with her father and I am not sure what time she will be back. He doesn't know anything and we need to keep it that way. He is not the forgiving kind.

He hit reply and sat back, holding the phone in his ledt hand. A few more seconds and Nicolae's replied back.

Nicolae: Do not mention it. Uhm. River's father reminds me of someone else's father.
You are going to have a lot to explain Jones. A girl pretending to be a boy? I want to hear all about it. A glass of whiskey like old times?

Sebastian chuckled as he read the new text. He knew Drogo couldn't keep his mouth shut.
Sebastian texted a simply "Come on over" to Nic and not even five minutes later there was a knock in his office's door.

"Come in." Sebastian could smell the vampire from inside. He got up and sat aside the books he was reading and fetched two glasses.

"Sebastian." Nicolae greeted him as he entered the room, closing the door behind himself.

"Sit down, make yourself at home, Nicolae." Sebastian glanced at him with a friendly smile and grabbed the bottle of whiskey from behind some other books.

The vampire sat down in one of the chairs. He couldn't help himself and scanned the books sitting on the desk.

"Sounds serious." Nic said as he read the titles.

Sebastian nodded filling up the glasses. "It is, it's moving fast up her arm. Too fast." He was worried even the vampire could sense it.

Nicolae nodded. "Quite an interesting story behind this girl. Drogo told me how she behaves in class. I find it peculiar." He said with a little amused smile.

Sebastian sighed, sitting back down and sipping some whiskey.
"It is a very complicated situation, River has been brainwashed into being a boy since she was little. I found out a few days after school started this year. Took me a while. She is always surrounded by girls who think she is a boy."
He shook his head.

Nicolae was listening intently. "Seems like you got yourself a handful. You must really like her a lot. I can sense her all over this room. And you." He smiled.

Sebastian smiled and raised his glass. "Cheeers my friend, and do not try to read my mind. I imprinted on her if you really want to know."

Nicolae was shocked. "Sebastian Jones has finally stopped being the lone wolf. Oh my." He drank some more, making Jones laugh heartily.

"I guess it was the right time and the right woman." Sebastian added.

Nicolae smiled. "You are very complicated. Is she the one?"

Sebastian nodded and finished his whiskey. "She is. I know it."

Nicolae drank the liquor quickly, feeling the rush of the alcohol inside him. "Alright then, can't wait to meet her."

Jones nodded as Nicolae got up.

"Thank you for the drink. I'll be in touch."

"Thank you Nicolae."

As he arrived, so the vampire disappeared in the dark night out of the window.
