Need a ride?

Class were finally over and River was thankful for that.

She said her goodbyes to Sam and Loan and walked out of the building, pulling out her smartphone and reading a text from her dad.

Got held up at work, sorry son.

He didn't come to pick her up. If for a side she was not gonna have a ride home, from the other side she realized she didn't have to be engaged in a fake "how was your day " conversation.

River smiled at the text and started strolling out of the parking lot right when the engine of a motorbike roared in her ears.

She stopped abruptly as the biker cut in front of her before exiting the lot.

"Hey! Watch where you going!"

She shouted as some girls agreed with her and kept waving at her.

River sighed and started walking down the street, heading toward the outskirt of town where her dad bought their new home.

It was a pleasant day. Not sunny, lightly cloudy, just the way she liked it.

Walking close to the line of trees, she was careful not to be in the asfalt, for there was no sidewalk on the road she was on.

River was taking in all the beauty of the nature surrounding her. She knew the woods extended for a very vast area and she promised herself to go explore aroundnas soon as she had the time.

It was like a call.

She loved nature and she loved animals, she would give anything to be free and do whatever she wanted.

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't realize the engine she just heard was getting extremely close and slower.

She was staring at a group of trees when she heard someone approaching her, stopping their vehicle right behind her.

"Hm-hm."

River slowly turned at the noise, recognizing the bike from school that almost run her over.

She crossed her arms on her chest watching the man with the helmet on. She needed to be careful, she thought, she didn't know who he was. "Yes? " she asked channeling her male personality.

"River, right?" The man asked her making her grow suspicious.

She eyed the helmet curiously.

"Why? Who wants to know?"

What if he was sent to kill her or worst, kidnap her! That would have been the perfect space and time: there was nobody other than them.

She pulled her smartphone out and clearly dialed the emergency number, just in case he would turn out with bad intentions.

"Where are my manners."

The man chuckled and removed his helmet. Sebastian Jones was sitting on his bike right in front of him.

River's cheeks flushed red. She felt like an idiot.
