We spend so much time looking at what's to come. The future. We try so hard to plan for what is to come, to construct a path forward. The truth is we have no knowledge of what is to come. Sure we may have rough ideas of the basic events that may occur but that doesn't stop the unknown. There will always be things that come up that we did not prepare for. That we did not expect. Sometimes these unexpected events come to our benefit but in other cases and the large majority of the time, those events tear our future apart. They come and tear everything we had planned everything prepared for apart and flip it upside down in the unknown.
No matter how hard you try, you can never truly plan for the unknown.
A week had passed since the incident with the Lunartooths and Omegas. The Three Claws had finally reached the Quebec area of the uncontrolled and had set up camp in the forest a good enough distance from the Hunter Port Base to not be noticed. It was late afternoon as Kuro was explaining to everyone that was to take part in the infiltration the logistics of the plan.
They were inside a medium sized meeting hut towards the centre of the camp. Kuro stood at the front of the room with Agnello, Vesper, Rufus, Leora, the other higher ups and their said groups huddled around the room ready to listen to Kuro. He extended his right hand face his palm down as shadows came out and formed into a model of the Hunter Port Base they was preparing to infiltrate. Kuro's shadowy voice filled the room as he began to explain getting straight to the point.
"This is the layout of the port base based on what we were able to scout out."
He pointed towards a road that connected the base which was further out into the sea to the coast line.
" As you can see the base is further out into the sea but that shouldn't be a problem as we will have Vesper teleport my squad onto the base itself from the coast."
He drew everyone's attention to the cliffs along the coast which the long road ran through.
" Makya and your squad a long with Vesper will set up a long the cliffs taking sniper positions. Watching out for any enemies that may be on approach or unexpected occurrences that may compromise the mission."
" Don't worry me and my lot got ya back covered." Makya replied ending with a charming smile.
Artio looked towards Makya and his group across the room as she added to Kuro's explanation.
" I'll send Orion with you. He will help you survey the area from the skies while also enabling you to signal to us and Kuro's group if anything goes wrong."
"Got it." He confirmed.
Kuro looked directly at Vesper who stood between Agnello and Rufus as he added one more thing.
" This'll be the point at which you will be porting us from. We'll need you to get us as close as possible. If anything goes wrong we'll also need you to get us back out."
Vesper looked at Kuro with a determined look reassuring that she was capable of such a task.
" Got it, you can trust me."
Kuro looked towards Hagorn switching his gaze towards the others as he mentioned their names.
" Hagorn and your men, along with Rufus and Artio will stay back as a back up at the edge of the Forest before we enter the coast. You are only to intervene if Makya's group signal to you that something has gone wrong. You go to them an you get Vesper to teleport you in if needed. This is in the case that the situation we have been putting doesn't allow for Vesper to easily portal us back and we have to engage in full on combat with the Hunters. Understood."
